STOPP organization tries to end planned parenthood for good

Planned Parenthood Found 2009 Difficult With Abortion Centers Closing RapidlyWashington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion business in the United States, doing 305,310 abortions in its own facilities or just under one-third of all American abortions. But the billion-dollar abortion giant faced a tough year in 2009 as it saw abortion centers close at a higher rate than normal.Jim Sedlak, the director of STOPP International, a watchdog group, told LifeNews.com today that he's seen Planned Parenthood centers close over the year but never as fast as in 2009."STOPP has been fighting for 25 years to close down Planned Parenthood abortion facilities. During that time, we have seen the number of Planned Parenthood non-express clinics fall from a high of 938 in 1995 to 797 today," he explained. "More significantly, 2009 saw the rate of Planned Parenthood closings go from one a month to over two a month," he said."Although the organization reported record income ($1.04 billion) and a record number of babies killed in its own facilities, there have been a number of signs that Planned Parenthood is beginning to feel the relentless pressure from those of us who will not stand by and watch it take our money and kill our children," he said.

Re: STOPP organization tries to end planned parenthood for good
Since returning to the church, I've been volunteering at a local abortion mill here in Roanoke Va.
I have found a real satisfacion in the ammount of people that would drive by and honk in support of our efforts.
Friends previously thought of as good Christian friends would refuse to stand with us saying it was too controversial, they became acquaintences but my new Christian acquaintences I met there became stalwart friends that brought real conviction and love to me in a way that no other friend ever has.
It is with that renewed strength in my faith that I return to California next Sunday, realizing that this will be the real battleground for God and country.
With the Lord and the Holy Spirit I pray to give me the courage to fight this very real Holocaust.

Its ok To be prolife,I would only expect you to follow your values,But planned parenthoods main goal is to enhance Womens health, and to encourage woman to have good health by preventive health practices.Pays for breast tests to stop cancer before it spreads, and to think wisely when planning for a family.Plan parenthood does not supply abortions and it cannot recieve federal funding for this practice.Poor women have been helped by free or lost cost medical care.I encourage you to go to a clinic and talk to the many good people that work at these clinics.God bless you

Re: STOPP organization tries to end planned parenthood for good
Wiljo2050,
Please check the facts before stating things like:
"Plan parenthood does not supply abortions and it cannot recieve federal funding for this practice."
From Planned Parenthood own website:
Planned Parenthood's 2011 fact sheet says it performed 332,278 abortion procedures in 2009. That would mean that roughly one out of every 10 clients received an abortion.
While I realize that they have have many services that help many people, Planned Parenthood still participates in murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent babies every year.
They also, DO receive federal funding that the government officially says they cannot use for abortion. This is simply to try to placate some opponents. That is the equivalent to the latest attempt to trick the Catholic Bishops into accepting the HHS mandate on providing abortion and birth control via health insurance. (they said that they would exclude it from Catholic health care plans provided and then just have the insurance companies provide those for no charge). That is a ridiculous concept IMHO. Insurance companies are businesses, and as such they look at the total overall bottom line and they set their premiums based on their total projected costs so that the profit bottom line comes out to be a positive planned number. Common logic tells us that the cost of "no charge/free" services provided is actually already built in to the premiums, they are not going to reduce their profits by that amount. In much the same way, Planned Parenthood operates on a total budget based on revenue received. The more money they get from the government the more money (from other sources) they have to spend on abortions. The facts are that the federal government does provide funding to Planned Parenthood which is an organization that kills unborn babies. They just put federal money in separate fund accounts. (Smoke and mirrors)
I am sure that we would ALL be in favor of promoting Planned Parenthood if they provided all the services they currently do EXCEPT for abortion and birth control. Trying to justify the abortions by balancing them against all the good things they do makes no sense to me.
Would it be alright if a person murders 10% of the people they see on the street as long as they provide valuable help to the other 90% the meet? Not to me.
