I feel that time flies by so fast
The saying goes 'Time flies when you're having fun'. But in my case, even when I'm not having fun, time still does fly by so quickly. Even when I'm doing something unenjoyable like waiting in line and I want my errand to be done and over with, still it doesn't seem to take long.
Wondering if any of you feel the same way. I was talking to family members and they agreed that time flies fast. Right now I'm emailing a friend and she agreed, though she said that there are times that she feels time is slow. Which I don't agree with based from my experience.
Just some random thoughts. The first half of the year is almost over and I feel like I haven't been productive or anything.

Yes. When you are one year old, the next year constitutes another 100% of your life so far.
When you’re 5 years old, another year is 20% of your life to date.
When you’re 10 years old, another year is 10% of your life to date.
When you’re 50 years old, another year is 2% of your life.
At age 60, one more year is 1.7% of your life.
If you make it to 100, another year is 1% of your life.
It goes by faster as you age!

Yes, the perception that time goes faster increases as we age. When we're children, a day seems like a long time.

Yes, yes it does. Especially when you have stuff that's due.

It goes from tempus fugit to tempus fuhgettaboutit, especially when I can't find my reading glasses.

Interesting read from a purported Catholic Mystic:
The Shortening of Days
Of course, discern everything.

Re: I feel that time flies by so fast
It's funny time is both fast and slow. It depends on the metric you are using. For example, when I measure time by a child in my neighborhood, I find myself saying, "wow I remember when that child was just born now he/she is at the bus stop". Or if I measure time by movies I find I can't believe that (for example) The Passion by Mel Gibson wass release in 2004 (can you believe it? ). Seems like yesterday.
However when I count down the number of years before I am at or very near retirement, it seems as fast as time goes by, I never get any closer. It's almost like I am stuck in the twilight zone, it's werd, everything moves quickly, except that!
