Did he explain the reasoning? Just curious! Glad you're with us.

Hey manualman.
The Priest said he has observed some Anglicans not performing it correctly according to the Catholic Church. He said that is why we had to go through with the conditional Baptism.
Glad to be in the true Church.

Interesting. We had some priests with funny ideas in the catholic church for a while too. The one that comes to mind goes something like "Wow, Jesus, too bad you were so influenced by that evil patriarchal culture you grew up in that you refer to God in masculine terms. I'll just go ahead and fix that little shortcoming in your character and upbringing and baptize people in the name of the Creater, Redeemer and Sanctifier. That's such an improvement over the labels you used, don't you think? I'm glad to help you out."
Thankfully those days were just a passing wave over the railing and the ship appears to be righting herself nicely. Welcome aboard!

I hate that. So, for two thousand years, it's Father, Son, and Holy Spirit/Ghost; and on a whim it's Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier? No thanks.
