Default Novena to Our Lady of Good Success

On the second day of a novena to Our Lady of Good Success, I closed a deal worth $14.5k in pure, net profit, the largest single deal since the beginning of the Great Recession. How's that for less than three hours' work? *Punches the air repeatedly as if listening to Rock music*

Glory be to God and the Mother of God the Blessed Virgin Mary!

It's a pointless thread, I know, but I wanted to share the good news - whether out of pride or avarice or the power of prayer, even I do not know nor have discerned.

Do you happen to have a good link for information on this?

Where did she appear & when?

Information on the novena.

I do not know much about Our Lady of Good Success

Thanks for any information you can give me about her.

Congrats on your success

God Bless,

I wasn't even praying the novena for finances, but for improvement in my (severely deteriorated, unlivable - but, yes, I still have internet, but no refrigerator, air conditioner*, stove, oven, hot water, no heat, and do have many insects/faulty windows/whatever which I am deathly allergic to, with management having done nothing to rectify anything [*the first piece of equipment, the air conditioner (I have the R2D2 looking things as replacements, at my own cost from Amazon.com) broke a year ago]) living situation - so, that, it seems to be conducive to the glory of the Church, as is said - in finding another apartment quickly (which it looks like I did, maybe ready for move-in on the 10th).

I probably should have taken them up on the college dormitory offer in hindsight. I feel impious when praying for material gain, and even more impious and unworthy when I realize that I pray more fervently when the situation is immediate and tangible.

Wikipedia has everything you want to know and more: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikiped...f_Good_Success. She has appeared many times, but most famously to Mother Maria de Jesus Torres (I don't believe she's the same Maria de Jesus [de Agreda] of Mystical City of God fame).

I've been praying the novena from http://www.tradbooks.com/novenas/Our...od_Success.htm (if you don't want to visit a Traditionalist site with SSPX links, you can use http://www.ourladyofgoodsuccess.com/...ena-day-2.html, although it seems a majority of the sites hosting it are Traditionalist).

And, thank you, all!

Dear Khalid,

Thanks for your post!

I am sorry that you have had to endure a lot of bad things regarding your living conditions.
At least now, things seem to be turning around for you
Best of wishes with your move.

I was wondering if you could please answer 2 things,

Why do Traditionalists favor Our Lady of Good Success?

This is not the first time I read that Traditionalists like her. But, there has to be a reason
I love the TLM/EF Mass myself, and I pray that the SSPX situation gets resolved.

And also, do you know why the Nun/Mother Maria de Jesus has not been made a saint yet?

Thanks for any help you can give me, and thanks for the links.

Keep praying

God Bless,

PAX,

Megan

Dear all,
I have been reading through this novena and have even prayed it a few times, but have gotten a little concerned as there seems to be nothing at all on the vatican website about these apparitions. All the other sites I have seen claim that they are Church approved, but if they were, wouldn't the Vatican have something about it on their website?
If anyone has any information, please share!

Thanks and God bless,
Marita

Hi,

I read somewhere that it was an approved apparition. But, I can't remember where I read it

What I find odd, is that how come the Mother/Nun that our Lady appeared to, how come she is not a Saint yet? I was hoping someone could elaborate on this.
Thanks,

God Bless,

PAX

Praise be to God! I also just finished this Novena and closed a large business deal with a TV broadcaster, I can finally make a quality children's TV show! Everyone give praise to Our Lady!
