Default I feel god against me

Hi all,

I have tried many things to solve problems I am now facing. I asked for help
from others, but no one is willing to offer help. Whenever there was some
hope in solving that problems, things happened and I pushed back to the
Square One.

Do you all have similar experience before?

Sometimes, yes, it does take a long time for things to resolve, and the results of the choices and circumstances in our lives or in the lives of loved ones seem to go on and on. I have seem some of these resolve for the best eventually. We all make choices and choose directions in our lives that have consequences we don't want, and sometimes others' action or inaction cause us or our loved ones to have problems
...when we don't like the consequences we want God to change them.

May God help us to work and try in the best way to overcome these consequences.
May God help you to find good ways to overcome the problems that cause you distress and discouragement.
Lord have mercy on our brother and help him to find good solutions to his difficulties, as he continues in faith, prayer, and effort.

Trishie,

Do you believe God will help you overcome (or get through) problems especially big one?

Joseph, I do know what it is like to have trouble piling on top of trouble, and nothing good seeming to come of prayers, and it bothered me most where those situations existed for my sons. Each, in his way, went through so much, but one had more extreme, complicated and more lasting problems than the others. He is a kind, honest, hardworking person, and he didn't deserve all that, but in recent times it seems that even he is coming into the sunshine, and things are resolving at last.

At times I found strength in scriptures like this one:

Isaiah says, “I was thinking: ‘I have toiled in vain,
I have exhausted myself for nothing.’
And all the while my cause was with God,
my reward with my God
.” [Isaiah 49:3-4]

It doesn't seem like it and it can be so hard not to be discouraged.
And if we do become discouraged, then depression can make it harder to improve our situation. God has answered many prayers though sometimes it seemed to take longer than one hoped, so when the good finally came, I couldn't take it in properly, but I do thank God

Joseph it was my tendency to write prayer in earlier time, in seeking God and so on, thus I did write some prayers that may express a little of your feeling sometimes:

Faith under siege
Eternal God, when my spirit has burned to ashes, ground to dust with a boulder of mute and heavy sorrow, please give me trust in Your personal love for me.

When mine, or others' mistakes or uncaring have wounded and savaged my heart, where are You to restore what is injured even when I plead for Your intervention and strive to heal the damage? And yet, though You seem absent, I still humbly cry out for Your mercy and healing.

When my efforts leave me helpless with no path left to try, please comfort me and show me a new path.

When others undermine with repeated assaults and short-circuit my resolve, send wise friends to comfort and support me. For no sooner has one problem and heartache eased or resolved than another, equally painful, arises for another or myself.

When I seek You but sometimes feel You are heartlessly steeled against me and my life becomes a flat salt desert. Please help me to trust in You even then, when trust no longer seems possible.

When my heart cries out repeatedly, groping in the helplessness of fears, disappointments and grief that words cannot convey; screaming in the silence of my brain. Is my only comfort, some day, death?

Yet still I call on You and place my tatters of faith in You.

A couple of others..so you see, I do understand the title of your thread.
And hope I can help to encourage you. I share prayers sometimes as maybe I put into words from my own experience, what others recognize in themselves. and maybe it helps sometimes.

O Silent God

Our God, we pray to You for others and ourselves, and sometimes it seems,
if only for a time, a time of awful pain and loneliness,
that no one is listening, that You are not there.

Many have turned away, disappointed and bitter, that You have not answered their urgent prayer, their painful need for self and for others.
There is no satisfactory human answer to their challenge,
whatever one might say of Your ways, Your time,
because their anguish or their anger is the reality they experience.

Dear God, You need no reminder, but my humanness leads me to remind You that we are human in our minds and hearts and bodies.
We have little or no actual sense or knowledge of ourselves as spirit.
If You do not touch us as human beings living in a physical world that we acutely experience, then some souls may lose faith and hope in You…but I pray for them with all my heart and life.

O silent God let us hear Your voice in the words of others, and let us be Your love spoken to them. Yet may I ask that You also speak directly to their hearts and minds with unmistakeable Love even where we cannot detect the action of Your Spirit in ourselves or in others. Speak to them in their last moments, if not before.

Please be mindful of our needs, and nurture us as we pray and seek Your healing and care. Embrace all who have lost their hope in God and prayer.

Forgive my unbelief
Our God, we humans feel need for practical alleviation in times of grief, difficulty and anxiety.

When I am embroiled in grief, clasp me to Your heart.
When I am sad or unwell, when troubles beset my family or friends,
when I make mistakes,
and when the pain or sin of the world assails me,
please lift my spirit with God’s love, and with the kindness of those whom God sends.

If in my sorrow I doubt Your mercy, please accept my heartache and tears as prayer for others.
Forgive me if I feel anger or dismay, in my frustrated yearning for real help for loved ones in their genuine needs, difficulty and pain!

Please allow no one to suffer for my doubt, but give me faith to become a better vehicle of intercession and blessing for others. Give me remembrance always that I need not plead desperately for Your mercy but will open my heart to the flood of mercy that awaits my welcome.

Saint Padre Pio wrote, “Pray, hope and do not worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.”

O God

O God, I humbly implore…
In my lack of trust, let me live faith.
In my disappointment, let me live hope.
In my bleakness, let me live joy.
In the emptiness of my heart, let me live love.
In my deprivations, let me value what is precious before You.
In my weakness and illness, grant me spiritual health.

In my anger and resentment, let me live generosity and forgiveness.
In my detachment, let me live community.
In the difficulties of commitment, let me be dedicated.
In my failures, let Your Spirit bless and heal.
In my successes, let Your will be served.

In human reality, let me live spiritual wisdom.
In maturity, let me become true child of the Father.
In my individuality, let me live in Eucharistic communion.
In the kind and warm things that I try to do, let Your grace flow.

In the confusion of my life, in my striving and good intentions
—regardless of my doubts, mistakes and infirmities,
let me fully live Your will in vibrant, humble trust.

Lord, please help Joseph to persevere in faith and in every good work. May he seek first your kingdom and your justice, and receive all the help he needs from your loving providence. Amen.

Joseph I am sorry you are going through a difficult time right now.I am sure many of us here at some time in our lives have felt as you do now. I too have suffered my share of situations where things have appeared very bleak. Trishie has given you some good prayers and wise words. I never stop praying! God has sent me wonderful prayer partners to help me through some of the most difficult and frightening times of my life. These kind and wonderful people pray with me every day for my intentions and God does hear and answer these prayers and not always in the way I expect. He knows what we need, what we can cope with and what is right for us.I had so many worries recently that I got to the stage where I no longer knew know what to pray for ......I was so worried about so many issues in my family life.I told God I place all my trust in Him and may His will be done and He answered my prayers in ways I could never have imagined. I tell you what helps me....when I pray for others and their needs....it puts my own worries into persepctive and it is so rewarding to help others in their time of need.

I know it is very hard but trust in Our Lord and pray.......He does hear and answer our prayers.....we may not realise that we may be asking for the wrong things...I know I was!

My husband found this prayer at our church last week and it really spoke to me..............

“God has created me to do Him some definite service. He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another. I have my mission. I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons.
He has not created me for naught. I shall do good; I shall do His work.
I shall be an angel of peace, a preacher of truth in my own place,
while not intending it if I do but keep His commandments.
Therefore, I will trust Him, whatever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him, in perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him. If I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. He does nothing in vain. He knows what He is about. He may take away my friends. He may throw me among strangers. He may make me feel desolate, make my spirits sink, hide my future from me. Still, He knows what He is about.”
― John Henry Newman

Lord please help Joseph in all his needs and help him and guide him to trust in You .Thankyou Lord for hearing our prayers Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

God bless you Joseph

Dear Lord!
Make me remember, when the world seems cold and dreary and I know not where to turn for comfort, that there is always one spot bright and cheerful----the Sanctuary.
When I am in desolation of spirit, when all who are dear to me have passed away like summer flowers and none are left to love me and care for me, whisper to my troubled soul
that there is one Friend who dies not
----One Whose Love never changes----
Jesus on the altar.
When sorrows thicken and crush me with their burden, when I look in vain for comfort,
let me remember Your words:
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will refresh you."
Amen.
