Re: 'More than able to hold her own,' girl gets boot from Catholic football league
Hope her parents are just as happy and excited when she comes home one day with a fractured skull, after some big ol' lugnut half again her size clobbers her like a freight train.
"What's that, dear? You lost three teeth and can't see in color anymore? We're so proud of you!

A sad day. Everything should be unisex that way no one will complain anymore. It is silly, yet a perfect example of cultural decay.

Well, polly, she will get a lot of attention if she plays football. Especially if she gets hurt. My son played against a team just last Fall that had one girl on it. The teams were all in 7th graders. Guess what happened? She got hurt within the first few minutes of the game and was out for the rest of it. All the practice and the time and effort she put into playing the game got her a few plays before it was over. So, the girl in the article might be able to hold her own right now with the boys (I believe she's 11), but wait a short time until the boys have started having growth spurts. She could get hurt in a big way.
