Any fellow Little Monsters?
I'm think this forum tends to run on the older side (25+ yrs) and more traditional, but are there any Lady Gaga fans out there?
It sounds rather contradictory for a Christian to enjoy her music (it's not Satanic . . . I don't know how people come up with that, like seriously, fix yourself a cup of camomile tea, sit down and actually listen to her music in context), but I for one really enjoy her stuff. It's catchy and her songs make great dance music at clubs.
Her latest album Born This Way is a downer in terms of her past work such as her debut The Fame. The Fame Monster was a good follow up.

I think you came to the wrong place to find fans of her.

Re: Any fellow Little Monsters?
I was attracted to her look and sound but as I did what you say, listening to her message in context with an unbiased mind, I found her to be simple-minded and offensive to many things Christians stand for. While I agree in general that there should be less hate against homosexuals in society, I will not accept their behavior or agenda and I find the rest of Lady Gaga's music to make a mockery out of Christian values. All this from a girl raised and educated in the faith - sometimes it truly takes a Catholic to become such a traitor as this.

Re: Any fellow Little Monsters?
I am not a Lady Gaga fan, but then again Lady Gaga is too "new" for me. I started walking to school in 2004 (senior year) and when I was in college I took the bus (no radio) and now our car has no radio so I don't listen to much music. Most of the stuff I listen to nowadays is Catholic podcasts because I am interested in learning about the Catholic faith.
I find Lady Gaga to be just okay, from the few songs of her I heard. I think she is being purposely over-dramatic and appeals to some people, but not me. Sorry.

I think she has a great voice, actually, especially when she's singing a Capella.

Re: Any fellow Little Monsters?
@ littlenothing - yea, that's one of the main reasons I like her. She's not a great dancer, but her voice is great and she seems like she's knows how to get a crowd going in terms of theatrics (non Nicki Minaj way). Her single Speechless is my favorite and her riffs in Nebraska are awesome. Her piano version for Poker Face on her Cherrytree Sessions, her EP collection, is also one of my favorites.
@ steph - mind sharing the Catholic podcasts you listen to?
@ daily & el - yea, I understand. I guess being a graffiti artist makes me more lax when it comes to such things, not that I agree with her ways of expression.I think she's just Bible illiterate like many Catholics out there, and takes verses for face value without much thought, and if she does think about it it's more than likely from a secular bent. Though, I don't think she's a "traitor", just misguided on her "let's all love and respect" rhetoric. Like you said, simple minded at times, like a child without knowing the consequences.
