Asking Jesus how to overcome death of a loved one

I wanted to ask for prayers to Jesus asking Him to teach me how to overcome the death of a loved one. Thank you for any prayers for this intention.

Lord, please fill the empty space in Joshua's heart, the empty space that makes him feel he hasn't overcome the death of his loved one. Heal Joshua and help him to cherish the memories of his beloved without feeling sad or down. Help him to overcome his loss by infusing in his heart your healing love and by teaching him about surrender and abandonment. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.

Sometimes it's just best to speak to our Lord right from your heart. Tell Him what you're feeling, even if what you're feeling is anger. Ask plainly for the graces and strength needed to get you through your grief. He will hear you and answer you.
