Smile Re: Christian Romance Novels

I am booked challenged and only like short stories since I really never have extra time to read. Then I happened upon Chicken Soup for the soul books and Small miracles. Stories are 1 - 4 pages long and have inspirational feel good themes, and makes you realize how blessed you are and how giving of yourself can change you and those on the receiving end.

If some of you have completed manuscripts, you still have time to enter!

I just submitted my own YA novel (the first in a series) that had originally been considered by both Coming Home Publications and Sophia Institute Press before they both cut back on their fiction lines (which seems disheartening, since we want Catholic fiction and the established publishing houses aren't finding a market for it!)

As an aside, if you'd like a good mystery series (no gore) with solid Catholic characters (an extern nun in a cloistered monastery), pick up Aimee and David Thurlo's Sister Agatha series! There are six books--Bad Faith, Thief in Retreat, Prey for a Miracle, False Witness, The Prodigal Nun, and Bad Samaritan.
