Just a question; I joined the confraternity some months ago but have been dedicated to Our Lady and her rosary since before my conversion.
I am a devotee of St Louis Marie de Montfort - so I pray the traditional rosary of 15 decades- based on the catch of 153 fish (hail marys) in the gospel and the traditional name/usage; Mary's Psalter. When I joined CHR I was told no directive had been given by the confraternity on the Luminous mysteries. So my question is what percentage of members pray the luminous mysteries and what are members feelings on the matter? Thanks and God Bless, Southwell |

I pray the Luminous mysteries along with all of the other mysteries. When becoming a member we vow to pay the original 15 mysteries each week, but of course we can pray more and add the Luminous mysteries also.

Beth,
Thanks for your reply! I've been a member for some months and hadn't met any other members. It's nice to be able to share with others in the group. I will pray for converts and RCIA. I too am a convert; Methodist, Presbyterian, Assemblies of God, Baptist, finally, 24 years ago, Catholic!!! Our Blessed Mother' Psalter brought me into the Church!!! JMJ, Southwell |
