I have no problem with the year, but I do think all this piling on should stop. They are still kids, and they are now going to have this follow them for the rest of their lives. Try to imagine if it was your own mother or grandmother...it was pretty darn horrible treatment, amazingly so--but those kids are still kids.

Let's see how much respect for bad behavior Jesus has:

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense, make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves."

"You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

"You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks."
Of course this was after these Pharisees had accused the man born blind whom Jesus cured, of being full of sin and that Jesus was from the devil.

In other words, Jesus showed them respect, but respect was not returned, even when Jesus in his compassion, healed the man who was told he was born blind because of his sin. Also, Jesus knew that these were the men who would have him arrested and put to death.

As God the Son, Jesus has the right to judge the motives of men.,

While keeping that in mind, remember, you're not Jesus.

Classic case of a mob mentality...I seriously doubt any of those kids would have done that if they were riding alone on the bus. In fact, if one of those kids were riding along just with that woman, I bet they would have been nice to her.

If we can't force people to help the poor through taxation, how can we force people to be pro life...etc. through legislation? (ProdigalSon1)

Exactly.

Jesus had all the knowledge He needed to address these people who were supposed to be spiritual leaders (notice He was harshest on them). We, on the other hand, neither have His knowledge of people's hearts, nor His authority as Messiah - not to mention that we are also imperfect and prone to sin. Which is why we can only condemn specific acts or behavior, but NOT the person engaging in them.
