A health care 'Judas' recounts his conversion
http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/0...omment-1479759
A timely topic, to say the least. I wonder if the Supreme Court is going to strike down ACA tomorrow, and send us spiralling down into a new dearth of healthcare hope?

A dearth of healthcare hope? What in the world are you talking about? I hope to GOD they strike down all of that law, it's completely unconstitutional and if the SCOTUS doesn't recognize it, this country is all but finished. You can stick a fork in us, we're done!

Completely agree! This law puts the already vulnerable in situations where they are even more vulnerability (i.e. the unborn, the disabled, the elderly). Lord have mercy on us all!

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

"A new dearth of healthcare hope."
You sound very confident that the benevolent gummint is going to take excellent care of us, should Obamacare stand the legal challenges. Let's talk again in 30 years to see how it all panned out.

Assuming the ACA is allowed to stand, you're on.

Re: A health care 'Judas' recounts his conversion
I hope they only throw out the individual mandate. It's not that I like the other stuff; I don't. But I do want to see the insurance companies end up with the classic result of their Faustian bargain. They went along with the pain (accepting all people) in return for the government putting a gun to the heads of millions of people to buy their product. If only the mandate is booted, these companies and others that made a deal with the devil will have to eat it and not even receive the goodies they counted on.
There's a lot of bad actors in this. Booting the law won't dent the problem. The problem is the people that crafted and supported it and their thinking. Until those folks are booted or otherwise dealt with, there is no solution.

By the way, no one has registered any reaction at all to the article I linked to. How about it?
