I believe that LCWR mainly represents sisters. Nuns are cloistered and mostly belong to the other group.

Re: LCWR denounces Vatican intervention, says critique 'unsubstantiated'
The article linked to this post states:
http://www.catholicculture.org/news/...?storyid=14497
"LCWR denounces Vatican intervention, says critique 'unsubstantiated'"
"The Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) has a Vatican call for reform of their group, saying that it has “caused scandal and pain throughout the church community, and caused greater polarization.”
After a 3-day meeting in Washington, the national board of the LCWR issued a stinging reply to a Vatican investigation of the group’s activities. The board said that the report was “based on unsubstantiated accusations and the result of a flawed process that lacked transparency.” ..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This oppostional attitude, key to most of LCWR's actions/attitudes
exemplifies quite accurately the reality that LCWR is divisive and
quite lacking in the humility required in the lives of those who serve
the Church. These women, clueless or malicious, sicken me. This
"kick back" alone has gone a long way in proving the Vatican's point.
I ran "Sr. Lilith Moonbeam " on google, and all it points to is this post.
Or maybe all that needs to be said about the justice and charity folks on this forum are willing to extend to those they consider liberal heretics.
Sure. They are dying, and they are lying. Let them go - the Church is better off without them. Reform would have eben preferable, but since that is not an option for them I'll take disappearance.
Cry me a river for these sisters. Arroagnt, prideful, man-loathing progressive feminists don't make for good sisters. Save your pity for real sad stories, not men ro women who spit in the face of the Holy Father.
Don't let the convent door hit you on the way out, LCWR.
He Man, I know and work with a lot of religious women. Most of them are hard-working, intelligent, and love the Church to which they've given their lives. It's very easy to vent hatred, but I think your rant was off base. Your characterization doesn't describe the religious I've encountered and worked with over the years.
Nor mine. I was schooled by the Sisters of Notre Dame De Namur, and while they weren't nuns, did a fabulous job. Notice I didn't indict all sisters, just these arrogrant ones who refuse to submit to the authority of the Church.
Doing some good doesn't excuse certain bad. I could find a shred of good in every human who ever lived. Doesn't make hell and sin any less real. As to who is, there, not my concern. But generally when talking about bad members of a particular group, you don't start by saying "disobedient yes, but man those sisters sure could cook a mean chicken pot pie!"
YET - those in the public eye (within questionable
groups) are NOT those we might meet in our workday.
That's the point. Those who lead others in the
ways of BAD counsel risk giving a bad reputation
to those many other Sisters who should bear NO guilt
for mis-deeds of the discontented blabber-mouths.
Yep. No one has issue castigating the defiance of the SSPX, but that is no indictment of every Priest or Bishop.
