I am aware that the Catholic Canon has sven books ( Tobit, maccabees 1&2, Wisdom, Baruch, Sirach plus various addition of Esther and Daniel) that are not present in the Protestant canon. There are several versions of the Bible that contain the Catholic canon for eg Jerusalem Bible, Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition, Good news Bible, New American Bible etc. I am not sure which of these versions the Cartholic Church approves for authentic bible study. Could anyone assist?

I don't believe that the Church has a particular recommendation for Bible study. That said, there is a Catholic Study Bible, which is the New American Bible with many notes and explanatory text. I have a copy of it, and am very happy with it.
