Re: pet hate game
I hate when people turn left very sloooowwwwwwly in traffic....why does it take that long?
The new catchphrase I hear people saying started by Jersey Shore, "Really?" after every sentence.
People who cannot speak proper English (doing it on purpose).

Yes! That's especially annoying and when you tell them you love them, and they don't even text back, or change the subject. That just breaks my heart.

Re: pet hate game
I'd rather that someone changed the subject or didn't text back instead of just saying "k"

Re: pet hate game
My earlier post about changing a noun into a verb - Cannot do it - "Office" is a place, not a process. So I am not "office-ing" from my house. I am working from my house.
There is a radio commercial about ductless air conditioning (basically portable units for each room). The voice actors discuss how they don't want to "comfort" a room if they don't need to. You can't "comfort" a room. You can air condition a room, you can climatize a room, you can make a room more comfortable, but "comforting" means to console, to empathise - and you can't do that to a room.
It drives me CRAZY when I hear these types of usages.
Oh, one more... "Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline." "She's" is the contracted form of "She is," and you cannot use "she is" with a reference to her having been born, because that event is in the past. Why they didn't just use "Maybe she WAS born with it..." I don't have any idea.
