Welcome! I am a fan of "Catholic Answers Live" Radio program too. I streamline it from my android phone as I am in an area with no Catholic radio.
Glad you can join us!

Yes, Obamacare is trying to make it so that all healthcare progams will offer abortion, contraception and euthanasia.
Please go to the Social Justice forums to discuss it further. This is a Meet and greet forum.
Welcome!

Greetings!
Hi. I'm a Catholic living outside of Baltimore, MD. (I am sort of a convert and sort of cradle-Catholic: My mom was Catholic, but my father was Methodist. I got to choose my religion and, so, at 21, I chose Catholicism after having my mother "coach me from the side" for many years!) I sometimes attend St John's Church in Westminster, MD and, other times, Holy Family Church in Randallstown, MD.
Nice to meet you!

Re: Meet and Greet # 89
Hi all.. Thanks for being here!! . I'm a 65 year old male that attended Bible school and church until age 12 or 13; raise by protestant parents. The next 50 years were uneventful in any relationship with God that involved my active participation. The last 2-3 years I've felt the need to seek after the age old question.. "What's it all about, Alphie?" I meditated, read alot, and meditated some more..
Cutting to the chase... 2 months ago while reading the old testament, I stopped and prayed. (not something that I've done very often) What followed was something that I still am not able to fully put into words, but my whole life was instantly changed, forever!!
I feel sooo blessed. I know I am Catholic, just waiting to follow the necessary steps to formalize the process. RICA classes start next month. Keep me in your prayers.

Re: Meet and Greet # 89
Hello,
Thanks for having this site available and for letting me be part of it. I am a cradle Catholic, a wife, a mom to six children, a middle school teacher at a local classical school, and a religious education teacher at our parish here in central Indiana.
I so very much appreciate the inspiration given by converts who have grappled with issues, studied, and then found truth in the Church. The power of their stories leads me into a deeper study of our Faith.
Blessings,
Joan

Re: Meet and Greet # 89
Hello, I am from: small town Canada. I was born and raised Catholic, and truly blessed to have been given the grace to remain a Catholic throughout my life, though, there were doubts and bumps along the way. All of my siblings have left the Church, except for one.
I am quite happy to be a part of Catholic Answers online forum. Many times I have questions and doubts about some Catholic Church teachings, not to be found in the Catechism; this is a true blessing!
Looking forward to rich discussions and dialogues with Catholics all around the world!

Re: Meet and Greet # 89
Greetings,
I was googling my name for my law practice and found my name showing up on this site. Out of curiosity, I looked and saw that Bill Donahoe (a man I vehemently opposed in 2003 and now respect a great deal) was pointing to my column in the Daily Mississippian regarding the Terry Schiavo case.
In any event. The obnoxious atheist in 2004 is now a fellow believer. I attend a Baptist Church in Allentown, PA and I have come to appreciate Mr. Donahoe's steadfastness.
Don't ever give up. You never know who is going to darken the door of a church.
L8tr,
Jim Kutkowski
Former Daily Mississippian reporter and obnoxious atheist now on fire for Christ

Re: Meet and Greet # 89
Hi,
I am originally from India and was born a Catholic
brought up by good catholic parents. With so many changes in the catholic church
just wanted a website to ask questions and get replies. I posted questions to Bill Donohue and father Trigilio with no responses.

Re: Meet and Greet # 89
Hello!
I'm a 40 something Cradle Catholic in San Diego, CA who in the past few years has begun to dedicate more time to bible studies at my church and realizing the importance of sharing the faith and the grace of God's love with my kids, husband, and the people around me. Thanks for the welcome message! Have a blessed day!
