As I understand it, this is a legal is an opinion grounded in the Constitution only insofar as the executive branch deems a law unconstitutional.
Indeed, it seems that in general, it is expected that the executive branch enforce all laws that do not have Constitutional problems. I've not heard any Constitutional objections to the welfare reform law. Nor do I see any Constitutional grounds for the waiver requests.

The bottom line is that, with the stroke of a pen, while everyone is focused on Obama's game plan to indict Romney as a felon in the press ... and Charlie Rose gives him a forum to pontificate as to what a business man really is and Romney really isnt...
Obama quietly/ effectively gutted welfare reform (which after 4 years of implementation cut the welfare rolls almost in half) by waiving the work requirement. Anyone can now sit on their big fat lazy - boy and collect...

Re: Republicans accuse HHS of gutting welfare reform with quiet policy change
Oh yes, Obama is counting on buying the votes of people who think they have a right to other people's earnings. A millionaire and two guys on a bar stool vote whether the millionaire should be forced to share his assets. That's democracy at work, and that's why America is at risk of being destroyed from within this November. A second term for Obama will be like taking a machete to our children's futures. But, sadly, plenty of parents and grandparents today only care about today. Rob

I've tried to explain this simple concept here, but what a fool believes, he sees and no wise man has the payer to reason away.

Re: Republicans accuse HHS of gutting welfare reform with quiet policy change
I think this shows the main problem at the heart of Obama's philosophy on government.
We are gradually being turned into a nation controlled by rulers, politicians, and officials, rather than a nation controlled by the rule of law. The founders created a nation of laws because they understood that rulers, politicians, and officials could be corrupted and were inherently corrupt by their nature. Where as the law is subject to processes that hopefully vet and strain anything that we put down on the books.

Your screen name will be a perfect moniker for the 2016 election if Obama wins or steals a second term. Rob

Quite obviously, to liberals, the ends justify the means. If the golden goose is guillotined in the cause of "compassion", so be it.
As an aside, who ARE these people flip back and forth between a guy who has tanked the economy, pits American against American, hates the Constitution and espouses Marxist values, and the candidate who believes in the free market principles and has been a successful businessman his entire life? That's a REALLY tough choice. Rob

Well, I can sympathize with those who don't like Romney, I'm more of a Ron Paul kind of guy. However those on the left despise him for a mostly different list of reasons than I personally do.
Though I don't totally disagree with them on absolutely everything.
However, I'll gladly take Romney over Obama any day of the week, if for nothing else than a nieve hope that Romney will reign in Presidential power back to it's true limits. We've gotta get Obama out of there at all costs.....I'm gonna vote Romney, though I'll be doing so with a clothes pin on my nose.

Clothes pin sales WILL be going through the roof come November, but Romney is America's only chance right now. God bless, Rob
