Making the right choice for career move
I am considering a new position within my company, but I am afraid. The poisition will move me away from an operating business revenue group into a "core" function within IT. I like the position description and the people I've spoken with, but after four years of stable employment -- my longest since I moved into this company -- I fear shifting back into an IT role, one in which I have been riffed several times over the last few years.
Lord, please guide me in my decision, for your greater glory and the support of my family. Amen.

Re: Making the right choice for career move
May God give you the grace to discern His perfect will for you. May He let you know with confidence and without any doubt the best course for your life. I oray that you will always have a job that you love, enjoy and are passionate about, that also enables you to provide for your and your family's needs, save for the future, and donate to the church. Amen.

Re: Making the right choice for career move
In today's economy, the closer you are to being the source of income, i.e. sales, selling, making sales, being a recognized source of income production will be a more secure position versus being in support of sales.
