Default The economy & hunting

How does one affect the other?

Will you not hunt because the cost is too high(ammuntion, license& tags, etc...?)

WIll you hunt more,in order to put some extra meat in the freezer?

Will you hunt more with a .22LR rather than centerfires since ammunition is cheap(er?)

Will you reload to save money?

I shoot mostly with my Scoped 22LR, the bullets are okay. Sometimes when I need shotgun practice, I'll buy really cheap shells.

I seldom fire my high powered rifle except for deer and things, and since deer season comes around once a year, I can usually budget for it.

Since the bullets and ammo are going up, my target practice has been decreasing a bit, but I'll tell you what, my accuracy is improving markedly, I just don't want to be mad at myself for wasting a bullet.

I actually am going to hunt a litlte more this year to save on food costs. I figured it would be cheaper for me to process four deer, than to buy meat at the grocery store. Venison is much healthier for you. And shooting wild turkeys is a cheaper way to eat turkey than buy one at the grocery store.

I am not sure about reloading.

God bless and Happy Hunting.

How about you?

I've got to put reloading on hold for now---too many expenses! I've got plenty of 12 gauge shells which should get me through the autumn and enough shot capsules for another round of rattler hunting in the feeding mangers on the farm.
