A few of the revised versions we used had a pretty quick transition: Heritage Mass, Deutsche Mass and Community Mass. It took about 6 months or so to get down the Mass of Creation (mainly the Gloria) but they have most of it now. Some people are still singing the Lamb of God the old way, and they belt it out with gusto , but they should eventually get it right.

I know that it's in the WLP "We Celebrate" hymnal and it's in the "Gather" Hymnal.

Worship III, #755. I think it was retained for Worship IV, but I'm not sure. We Celebrate was using it as well, I believe. The text author is Kevin Nichols, and the text has an ICEL copyright.

I don't have access to 'gather' and my wlp book is from 1979 ; it's not in there. If anyone could pm and email me a copy of the 'Passion Chorale' version I'd appreciate it, I love that tune and I really like the lyrics I found online. I found sheet music with those lyrics, but to a different tune .

Very shortly, this thread will be closed because it will have reached one thousand posts, as is customary on this forum. I’ll make a new thread.
EDIT: Here is the new thread.

I absolutely HATE the revised MoC. However, it is so well known I ONLY use it during the summer (I live in a tourist town), funerals, and weddings. September - June are other settings
My parish got the Sactus down after five weeks, but I refuse to use the Gloria from that Mass. It is so darn difficult. My small choir is really good at learning new songs and revisions of old ones. The Gloria from MoC was so difficult for them that I said forget it.

We change settings seasonally, or did anyway. Last year we had to learn the new translation, so we only had one setting for the year. We are now in the process of deciding what we want to add to change things seasonally. I have given my priest three possible paths and am waiting for an answer.
