Senate Democrats Pushing Tax-Funded Abortions in D.C.

Senate Democrats are, once again, pushing for taxpayer-funded abortions in the nation’s capital as they approved a spending bill for the District of Columbia earlier this week that removes the current ban on D.C. abortion funding.

The Appropriations subcommittee passed a Democratic-sponsored measure providing $676 million in federal funds for the District, including money for abortions for any reason. The measure is different from the House version that Republicans have approved with the abortion funding ban remaining in place and it sets up a likely conference committee battle between House Republicans and Senate Democrats over the funding.

CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday says 61% of the public opposes using public money for abortions for women who can not afford it, 37% in favor of allowing use of federal funds.

Poll by the Polling Company for Americans United For Life found 71% of Americans oppose 'using tax dollars to pay for abortions here in the United States.'

Sadly, 90% of Democrat senators and reps today are products of the 60's cultural revolution, spoiled, selfish brats who care not one iota about individual freedom of conscience. Or, human life itself, which has been created in the image of God. If these statists didn't have to stand for re-election and feign fealty to the Constitution, our freedom would be extinguished within a generation.

this is why any FAITHFUL Catholic can no longer be a Democrat...it is NOT the party of helping the poor...it is the party of getitng the poor killed off (abortion, planned parenthood funding, poison-for-natural-cycle- birth control pills) OR the party of making dependence on the government a necessity!
