What caused the 'sexual revolution?'

The short version is not going to teach anybody anything. It was all carefully planned. Sure, we've always had dissidents inside the Church but the events leading up to it and our present cultural situation had everything to do with careful planning.

The discredited Kinsey Reports were published:

1948 Sexuality in the Human Male

1953 Sexuality in the Human Female

1953 Not by coincidence, the first issue of Playboy is published. Hugh Hefner begins to promote his Playboy Philosophy, sex is good anytime. As the years pass, he wraps his photos of nude and semi-nude women around intellectual articles, and articles about the finest cars, menswear, alcohol and other "sophisticated" examples of what the modern man should appreciate most.

1960 The FDA approves the birth control Pill. Since most people live on farms and rural areas, it does not get its first mass marketing push until 1973. And like any product, it had to provide the user with a benefit because manufacturers of The Pill had to sell product, and they could not have the Catholic Church standing in their way.

1966 The vicious anti-family and pro-abortion group, the National Organization for Women is founded.

1967 So, they were selling potential users freedom from fear. Fear of what? Babies.

1967 But what about Catholic teens on their way to college in 1967? A number of Catholic institutions of higher learning ended their ties with the Church. The reason? Freedom.

The sheep were now free to roam into any academic error that such freedom would lead them.

1968 The Sexual Revolution has started but the Church attempts to put up a clear roadblock. Dissidents inside and outside the Church pressure Pope Paul VI to loosen Church restrictions on artificial birth control. Instead, in 1968, he reaffirms constant Church teaching in Humanae Vitae and warns Catholics of the consequences if we didn't listen. It caused a howl of outcry "...unprecedented in the history of the Church..." Got that? After centuries, the perverts, sexual deviants and anarchists would not be denied.

Not only did they declare their disagreement with encyclical’s teaching; they went one step further, far beyond their authority as theologians, and actually encouraged dissent among the lay faithful." 1969 A campaign of lies and deceptions begins with the media to convince the public that Abortion - the birth control of last resort - is OK. In fact, we should support it. We Were Lied To. That's all been exposed now. Enemy number one? The Catholic Church.

1970s After spending millions of dollars on prostitutes, buildings, photographers, fillmmakers, printers and distributors, Adult Bookstores open everywhere. In 1968, the worst you could get on the newsstand was Playboy and similar, but mostly pictures, girlie magazines behind the counter. This was like going from marijuana to heroin. Oh Christians protested but the pornographers also had money to spend on high-priced lawyers protecting their "First Amendment Right" to produce this filth. These were the new Opium Dens, and like all drug addicts, some people would be compelled to pay for their next fix. Some becoming addicts for a very long time. Others breaking free.

Then let's throw in strip clubs and topless bars. (For those interested, the Chinese went to war with the British and Americans who had opened Opium Dens in their country.)

1973 The end of Phase One of the first 5 year plan. The Supreme Court in the most bizarre ruling in history - not the people - cited "penumbras and emanations" from the Constitution and legalized abortion.

The last thing on the list was gay activists pressuring the American Psychiatric Association to remove homosexuality as a disorder from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.


Fast forward to today and you can see how the foundation for The SEX without love Revolution was laid.

Where do you get this information? If an American is living abroad (but has not renounced his American citizenship), he/she is able to vote via absentee ballot. With regard to taxes, it is not a clear-cut demand that taxes have to be filed if one lives overseas; rather there are qualifications that have to be met, and it has to do with length of residency, amount of income, source of income (which company you work for), etc.

Some people are considered citizens because their parents are/were citizens even if they themselves never exercised it. The US tries to file suits against Canada all the time to take money from such "citizens". Such people cannot vote because they have no "state" to register under. This is a big issue here with dual citizens or people who are not citizens by choice, but by fiat (i.e. for an extraterritorial tax grab). Think of how Mormons "baptise" generations of dead people. Similar concept.

If someone makes more than 92k$ and it's not through wages, they have to pay US tax even if the source is not the US. The lottery for example. If you won the 649 Canada wouldn't take a cent. The US wants money from you though even though it's the Canadian lottery and the recipient doesn't have any ties with the US. If the opposite happened to a Canadian living in the States (or with any other person from any other country living anywhere else) they'd not have to pay a cent except to the country where the income was derived. Taxation in Canada (and every other country) is based on residency, not citizenship.

Regardless, it's obscene that one even has to file a tax return to a country they don't live in or have ties to while residents who aren't citizens would not.

This is a sell out. You need to stop voting for only two parties. We have five in Parliament, yet there is no European style proportional representation. The UK has several as well. You currently have more than two people standing for election. Vote for them. Our NDP party took 75+ years to become the official opposition, but they made it. Now they are a voice.

You don't have to win power to be effective. You have a voice that must be heard in Parliament. The fact that ideas are flowing contrary to big parties makes a huge difference. It's not always about winning a majority or total control, but getting the voice. Through time, such voices grow. You need to stop voting based on who you want to lose, and vote instead on who you'd like to best represent you.

You had Ross Perot at one time, but because he lost everyone gave up. Do you think you'd break the system after one go? It takes more than one tryout to get to the Olympics.

I find it ad that people try to "change" parties that have existed for hundreds of years and have so many entrenched interests and connections they have to pay back. Why not start your own? Everyone else in the world does. I say it's because of lack of guts, no will to put in the effort, and apathy as a nation.

Such a claim is, of course, absurd. One needn't use an automobile to have an affair, even in a crowded city. But affluence doesn't automatically link to cars.

Actually, I think real Communists, the USSR elite types, wouldn't have cared much for hippies. Practical commies like Lenin and Stalin would have had them all shipped to Gulags. Aren't there stories of "true believers" moving to communist countries then finding out they hated it, or being thrown in prison?
