Weight Watchers Support Group
Hello all and welcome back!! I don't know about the rest of you, but I have missed the forums! I went on vacation and came home to no CAF!
Well, let's restart the WW support thread here. Hope the end of summer/start of school has been good for all of you.
I had my WI today and am now down 23 pounds and reached my 10% target! My next mini-goal is to get into the 100's! Almost 13 pounds until I get there. . . maybe by Thanksgiving. I am still doing Core, and I really enjoy it. I have been seeing an up/down pattern with Core. One week I lose a lot, the next, very little, or even a gain. But, on those up weeks that I stick with my exercise, I do lose, not as much as the down weeks, but still a good number.
How is everyone doing? Any exciting news?

Re: Weight Watchers Support Group
Hi! I started WW about 12 weeks ago. I'm doing Core too. I'm averaging about 2 pounds a week so I'm very pleased.

Re: Weight Watchers Support Group
I am ready to start again. We have a group at work, but I am never able to attend the meetings. I need to find another meeting and go ahead and join. What do you like about the Core system? The Flex points seem to confuse me a little. I'm probably either overthinking it, or trying to sabotage myself.

Weight Watchers support group - back again
Hey everyone - seems we lost our WW support group in that hacker incident! So, here we are, back again! Just so you all know I hit a big bump and just couldn't force myself to go to meetings anymore or follow the plan! Something about hitting this weight I am at right now and I am so happy with myself! Also looking at where I am supposed to be according to their charts and I would get soooo depressed! Turns out in going to my GYN that I really should be at the most 30 lbs. more than the WW charts say (due to larger amount of lean body mass than the charts take into account) so, when I am ready to get back on track (and I plan to) I am going to lose some more, go see my GYN who also does weight management stuff and have him check me for my more accurate BMI and get a note from him as to my best weight so they will let me be a life time member at that higher weight!!!
So, how is everyone? I missed you all while we were down! School started here about a month ago and I am guessing every where else has started by now too so those pesky vacations aren't going to be getting in our way .

Re: Weight Watchers Support Group
Cat - WTG on your weight loss . Looks like you are down almost 25 pounds! That's fabulous! Keep up the good work!
Faustine - I have done Core and Flex. I lost about 35 pounds on Flex over a year ago, and enjoyed the plan. But, I quit, gained 25 pounds, and started over in May. I lost about 14 pound on Flex, and now 9 on Core. I switched to Core because I found myself not eating when I was hungry and choosing not to eat the healthy foods, all so I could save points for junk. I like being free to eat whenever. I enjoy fruits a lot, and am working on liking more veggies, so I try to make those my snacks. I also really like milk (and have always drank fat free). What's confusing about Flex for you? Hopefully we can anwser some questions and you can try a plan that feels best to you.

Re: Weight Watchers support group - back again
A generic "weight watcher" plan: Here's a vote for the "Meatless Friday" plan over the (mulicultural) "Favorite Recipe from our Diocesan Paper" plan. I also kind of favor the "Sundays during Lent are not for fasting" plan, over the "Abstaining from chocolate is Hyprocritical" plan (if I was to choose.)

Re: Weight Watchers Support Group
Yup, I hit the 25 pound mark today...very happy! I'm also happy because of the new automatic payment plan WW started. It's 39.95 a month and includes the eTools which normally is 12 or so a month.
I love Core because it is more limited. I was making stupid choices with the Flex plan and I wasn't doing a good job of keeping track of the points. Core reminds me of the WW of old, like in the 70's when they began when they didn't tell you you could eat anything. Also, Core is like South Beach and Atkins, more protein, less carbohydrates. I do well without the carbos which my body just doesn't handle as well.

Re: Weight Watchers Support Group
OK here I am again. I am not giving up!! Can I get an idea of how many of you actually go to a weekly meeting or just do it yourself at home...
Thanks!

Re: Weight Watchers Support Group
Cat - I'm loving the new monthly plan as well. Less than $10 a week and I get meetings AND etools! :-)
Little Mary - welcome . . . I attned meetings, and it seems CatQuilt does as well. I have tried doing it at home, but without outside support, I fall apart pretty quickly.
I'm having a decent week, but this week is just another in a long line of weeks that I find exercise the hardest part of my weight loss journey. I keep saying I'm going to get up at 6 and workout before anyone else here is awake. But then I don't. I say I'll do it at nap time, but nap time is important for cleaning and decluttering (oh, and talking to friends/my sister on the phone). That leaves after DS goes to bed, by which time I'm exausted most of the time. Ugh. I wish I could figure out something that would work consistently. I know ultimatly I just have to DO it.

Re: Weight Watchers Support Group
I am down 15 pounds and only 4 pounds away from my 10% goal! I'm pretty stoked, this is the most weight I've lost on any plan. WW is really the way to go!

Re: Weight Watchers Support Group
Thanks everyone for getting the thread back and running! I have been very busy, but I have stayed on WW and have been going to meetings weekly. I stayed the same for two weeks but am not discouraged really. I am staying on the core plan and enjoying it .
