YAYE . . . it's a great new week. I took the day off today, but I'll be out running again tomorrow.

Well, I'll try, but I have an early gig on Friday. The show is about 50 miles from home, and I need to be there at 6 AM.

Hey, Jon, welcome to the group. 4 miles is awesome. How can you run that much, and smoke cigars? Well, we're here to support you. This is a great group.

Just worked out with a couple of the gals in my building. We're sweatin' with Mr. Simmons (sweet little fruit loop that he is) and laughing our heads off because no one can keep up with the steps. It was a little intimidating working out together, but now it's turning out to be really fun.

My intention is to work five days this week (M-F) and have at least one person join me each day.

But now it's time to pick up my sweet little wild child.

Bless y'all. Happy sweating!

Gertie

Hey, guardian1, welcome. I have to agree. I'd much rather munch on cookies than go running. However, I do a lot more running than munching on cookies. Drat the self discipline!

ok guardian....mums the word.
i used to never have to worry about weight...working out...bla bla...but since i turned like 32 (i'm 37 now)...it seems like i have to exercise to stay in shape. the thing is...it's not just about being physically fit...and attractive, which would be sheer vanity. I really started meditating on it all...and offering it up to God. It's about pleasing Him...and watching what we eat, in a way, pleases Him. When we don't over eat and indulge in too many pleasures, just 'because we can,' God is pleased with our restraint. And pleased that we want to take care of the one and only body we have....so...there are days when pink m&ms are great...but other days when I have to say no...

I walked today...it wasn't as productive as in the past, nor as fast paced...but I got it in! The weather is inching its way to coldness again...and pretty soon, I will be dusting off that treadmill.

How is everyone else doing today?
