Anybody here play the "Myst" game series?
I was just curious. I'm playing Myst III:Exile right now. If you do play, what's your favorite game of the series? I just thought I'd post because it has a lot of Christian undertones i.e. good vs. evil and wins, truth is never relative, love conquers all, ect.

Re: Anybody here play the "Myst" game series?
I've been playing since the beginning, and I've loved every one so far (I haven't finished #5 yet...).
Myst IV was my favorite, because of the beautiful graphics and puzzles that aren't quite so hard as Riven or Exile... I really do like the series, but by the time IV and V came out, the storyline began getting into wacky spiritual themes that aren't quite as interesting as the earlier games.
Myst (the original) was classic, and I recently re-played it on my old Mac Performa with my little sister (9, and now excited to play Myst!).
Myst V kind-of screwed up the beautiful graphics by making everything computer-rendered (like 3D shoot-em-up games), but the game is still fairly exciting (better than Riven, but not as good as III or IV).

Riven is still my favorite, but the puzzles were a little too difficult to be enjoyable and more of a "pull your hair out and look for cheats on the internet" mood. The story was cool and the best was at the end when you fall into the Riven Cleft because then you understand where that guy on the Myst cover is falling from!

I only played the first game. In fact, I might still have the CD laying around somewhere.
