As much as I like extra crispy, I had to go with original recipe because of braces.

I went with original recipe because I take 95% of the skin off anyway, and I don't want what remains to scratch my gums.

The skin is the best part of fried chicken, and the more stuff it has on it, the better for me.

Yeah, I like it too, but it's the cholesterol and the calories that I have to avoid, more's the pity!

I think I started choosing extra crispy after all the talk about samenella (sp?)
and other odd things that made chicken look like a death wish and not that I dont like chicken, its just not worth the risk to me since, well- its chicken and not a nice fat hunk of rare porterhouse.
I think I trick myself into thinking that it must be cooked longer (extra crispy) so more germ free. And I am not in fear of gaining weight since I cant no matter how hard I try - the calorie thing just is not a factor.
But, all this talk about it is getting me hungry so I am going to get a really good beef combo extra wet with cheese fries and a chocolate shake to wash it all down.

Have fun with your chicken!

I went with original recipe, but I also have to agree with Stanmaxkolbe, given the choice. Mostly because Popeye's has better sides.

However, crispy anywhere else just gets removed.

Extra crispy for sure. The original is way too whimpy. Gimme some extra greese on that, too.

I don't eat fried chicken (or much of any fried food, for that matter).

I'm not big on fried stuff, but no chicken? That's un-American, sir.
