Rosary intentions?
Do any of you put a limit on your Rosary intentions? After mentioning the Pope's intentions, the confraternity's intentions, the Pope himself, I feel like I can only add the a single personal intention. Well, personal in that it is my intention, not that I am praying for myself.
Opinions?

Re: Rosary intentions?
I like to add different intentions after each decade. This way, I feel Our Blessed Mother has a spiritual bouquet of intentions to bring to Her Son.

Re: Rosary intentions?
Personally, I add all of the intentions I can think of. I figure Mary and the Lord can handle all of them.

Re: Rosary intentions?
God can handle it. He know's no limits. If he can handle millions of prayers coming up to him all day long for thousands and thousands of years, he can certainly handle a rosary that has a lot of intentions attached to it.

LOL - I suppose. I just feel like I am cheating somehow! AS IF I could pull something over on God. I just worry that my intentions might be longer than the Rosary!

Re: Rosary intentions?
Yes, why should you worry? As many intentions as you can remember, I say. We're lucky to have Christians full of good intentions such as yourself.

Re: Rosary intentions?
If it would make you feel better, say a few extra decades or do another set of mysteries. I'm not sure if it will make any difference to God or not, but it might make you feel better.

As an RCIA Candidate, I hadn't realized you could add more intentions. My pamphlet does mention that at the end we pray for the Intentions of the Pope.....Father, Mary, Glory be...and after that, not knowing the exact words or procedures, I ask that all this helps The Church Suffering some how. Not sure if the prayers of a non-confirmed like me actually do help the souls in Purgatory, but I see no reason not to give it a try

Re: Rosary intentions?
I tell you what I do. I make a morning offering - of all my prayers and good works for the day - first thing when I wake up. I list any intentions that may be on my mind, for myself and others, at this time. I also add others during the day as they come up.
I normally, however, don't specify particular prayers for particular intentions. That way it's left up to the Heavenly Father that whatever cause needs the most of my prayers will get them

At our CWL, we add as many intentions as we can think of at the beginning of each decade.
At the end, we just say, "For these and for any that remain unspoken in our hearts, we pray to the Lord - Lord hear our prayer."

I do that, too.

I have a daily list of people I pray for in different categories. Lately, it seems I have more reasons to pray for some serious needs and situations and have felt overwhelmed, but remember my list. I really like your idea of not thinking about it once you ask God to take care of it all. Thanks for posting your "system!"

Re: Rosary intentions?
I am not a very structured person. I don't have a set way that I handle the intentions when I pray the rosary. Usually, I just start praying, and the intentions just kind of come to me as I pray. Sometimes it is surprising what my intentions turn out to be. Sometimes though if I have someone that I am really wanting to pray for, it will make me want to pray the rosary, so usually that person would be my primary intention when I pray. The really strange thing is, that there have been quite a few times that I have prayed the rosary with no intentions at all. Those are the times that I am feeling really empty, and those are the times that I have received the most comfort and peace.

I have tons of problems, so I pile 'em on.
I also ask for graces I don't know I need, and all the grace God wants to give me that I don't know about specifically, but that He'd like me to ask for. I want to be sure I don't turn down what He wants to give me.
