Hi all...I'm home sick today... So...for obvious reasons, I won't be exercising today. Waaaa....just when I start getting back into the groove.

Where is everyone? Hope you are all well ....and exercising out there! You can exercise double...to make up for me not doing it today. lol

Have a blessed day.

Well, I'm back, after an EXHAUSTING weekend. I had that big job on Friday, then a smaller one on Saturday, that ended just in time for me to head to church. I run the sound for our Life Teen Mass on Saturdays, so I get there at 3 to set up.

I'm also taking care of my wife. She fractured a foot a little over a week ago, and can't use crutches due to bad shoulders. So I'm getting her around in a wheelchair.

And yes, Sharon, I do sleep once in a while, but no more than I have to. There's too much to do to waste time sleeping.

I ran 2 miles this morning. My goal for this week is to run 5 days.

No exercise yet this week. The ball of my foot is just killing me today - no idea why, but it's hard even to walk. And both my exercise buddies are out today too. Must just be our day of rest - thank you, Lord.

Blessings to all!

Gertie

I ran my 2 miles this morning, but I wasn't very motivated, so it was really hard.

just 'running through the motions,' were you?

I was home sick again today...blaaaaa...and my daughter was too. I am praying for a speedy recovery. I was visiting another religious website, and someone told me that our illnesses draw us closer to God...and that we appreciate our health 10 fold after we have recovered. Interesting.

Hope everyone is having a super week...and you did it, at least...Michael....you seem to definitely be doing great!

I suppose it's better to run un-motivated, than to skip it because I'm not motivated.

Sharon, I'm praying for a speedy recovery. You really seem to be under attack lately. May our Lord wrap His loving arms around you and pour His blessings upon you, until you are drenched with His holiness.

I ran my 2 miles today, and I was determined not to be unmotivated like yesterday. I guess you can call it forced motivation. I was determined to run all the way up the hill without dropping below 6 MPH, and I made it.

Good job on the run Michael.

We had group PT today. After we did our warm ups we did some sprints.

1 600 yard, break, then a series of 3 400 yards with breaks in between. Then finally 4 200 yard sprints with breaks.... killer.

Tomorrow a bike ride, then Friday 5k........

How is everyone else doing with their workouts?

Courage.

oh, thank you Michael...that was nice.
I can exercise vicariously through you, and the others here...no? yes?

I cannot believe I'm still home sick...I went to the doc today...and diagnosed with a bladder infection...ugh...the fever...the headache...the pain...ok...i won't go on. LOL
I talked to my boss a little while ago, and he said others have left home sick, too...so must be a strange strain going around. blaaaaaaaaaa

But, suffice to say...it's been a weird week. And I take vitamins!!!

keep up the great work everyone...i'm still lurking here and like to read your 'reports.' keeps me smiling.

Courage, you sound like you're in Boot Camp. What an amazing workout. Are you able to keep up? If so, I'm really impressed.

Sharon, I'm so sorry you're ill. I'm stepping up the prayers for you. May the architect and builder of all life send His healing Spirit upon you and bring you quickly back to full health, that you may serve Him as He truly deserves. Amen.

I'm up in Santa Barbara again for a few days, so I went out running this morning and went a little over 2 miles. That's four days in a row.

Ha Michael.... nope just everyday in the AF. We have mandatory PT three times a week. The biking thing is pure fun. I usually am doing two major fundraiser rides in Oct. Ride for the Roses, 100 miles and MS San Antonio to Corpus Christi, 150 miles. But, I am moving to Italy and leave for school in three weeks to be a First Sergeant.

Mostly I need to exercise to lose more weight... You guys help.

I attached a picture from the MS150 last year. I am the guy on the left with the dark hair.

Good job on the running Michael.

How is everyone else doing with their goals?

Wish me luck, 5K at 0645 in the morning.!

Courage

Courage, you don't look like you need to lose weight. I wish I was that thin! You look great.

Nice pic, courage...and good luck on your 5k, but you might have already finished by the time you read this! I want to do a 5k...

I'M FEELING BETTER TODAY EVERYONE...NEARLY 100%...SO...THAT MEANS TOMORROW, I WILL EASE BACK INTO EITHER THE BIKE (soft spinning) OR...POWER WALKING. Running might be rough, since I've fallen out of it for a little while.

Keep up the great work! You all inspire me...truly.

ps: have you ever seen the website:
www.beginnertriathlete.com ?

I think you'd really like it...I learned a lot on there...(re injuries, eating habits, etc...)
