Thumbs up Exercise Support Group--week of 10/08/06!

GOOD EVENING, GANG...SORRY, I'M LATE IN STARTING THIS...BUT I'VE BEEN.....EXERCISING TODAY! YAY!!! I'm back into the groove....walked extensively today...about 2 miles, and also went hiking with my family...we had a blast, and worked off some calories too!

Tomorrow, I'm intending on getting up earlier, a few days a week (I will need your motivation, Michael!!! ) to jog in the mornings...because I just think with my husband's schedule change, I have been falling out of working out, because I'm responsible for solely driving the kids to all of their after school sports (evenings when I'm home from work) 'stuff.' So...maybe if I throw in 2-3 mornings per week, I can stay committed, like I was in the beginnning of this thread! LOL

Hope everyone had an especially great weekend...!!

HERE'S TO HEALTH

Last week, I walked a total of 48 miles in 5 days. This week I am shooting for 50+.

Just got back from vacation.

Other than today, I did over 10,000 steps each day. Today, I was in an airport in San Juan for most of the morning and afternoon. Not that big of an airport to roam around. Did get in over 7,000 though.

Did not see too much of it. Basicly, the airport to the ship. The ship was so large that they had a walking track on it where 5 laps was a mile.

So it's back to the "salt mines" tomorrow and walking all over I guess.

HI ALL....

Managed to power walk after work today for nearly 2 miles...it feels good to be back in the swing, although, I was winded for taking some time off. But, it's a 'good' winded. lol You know what I mean.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather while it lasts, if you live in the northeast like me...hey...I heard snow is possibly coming our way on Friday...I'll be on the treadmill then...which I'm grateful to have because now I have no excuse.

Keep up the good work...nice seeing you Sue and Katie!

Walked just over nine miles today. Was hoping to be closer to 10. Tomorrow will be better!

Hello, group!

I've been off since last Thursday (Off from working out). I was in San Diego last week, and Thursday and Friday I woke up feeling achy all over. It only lasted a few hours, but I was unable to run after work due to my schedule. The weekend was booked solid, and this morning I had a very early flight to Kansas City (My home through Thursday). The hotel has a treadmill, so I'll be on it tomorrow morning, getting back in the grove.

Good job, everyone, on the motivation. Keep it up.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is my last week before First Sergeant Academy! Wish me lots o luck. I start class on 16 Oct.

I put in 46 miles on the bike between Sunday afternoon (17.5) and today (28.5). I am feeling it now. Whew!

I am glad to see everyone is coming back from vacation or being sick. I hope you all keep up with your goals. I am hoping to do the same!

I found yet another cool website for runners/walkers/cyclists. http://routeslip.com

You can set up training logs, design routes to meet your training goals. It even has elevation data for you!

Here is my ride from today. Look at the elevation chart. See those hills? ha ha.

http://routeslip.com/map.php?map=11018

Peace to all!

Courage

I did Spin Sunday... that is it so far

Stay tuned...
