Well, in Sharon's absence, I decided to start the new thread for this week. Let's get out there folks, and work out!

hey--i was hoping you'd start one! Ok...get this...I worked out very hard tonight...YAY!!! I did (combo power walk with nice stride run) about 2 miles on the treadmill....deep stretching and some weight training! (oh, and ab work)

I have been lurking...and really want to keep this up! I would be up and down...getting out of being consistent, and as we know, it's all about consistency, right? The weather is turning, so I'll be turning to my treadmill...but, I'm grateful to own it...we shall see what tomorrow brings. I am thinking of the bike...

Thanks for starting a new thread, Michael...hope to see everyone's pulse raise this week.

I started the week off with over 10 miles walking. Made up for the candy pumpkins I ate on the weekend.

Good job, Kathy! All that walking is so impressive.

I ran 2 miles on the treadmill this morning, so I'm up to 7 miles for the week so far. 5 more to go.

Today I managed just over 9 miles. Michael, you are an inspiration to me!

Hi Kathy--nice seeing you

Well..looks like I kicked my slump...I power walked today for 2 miles...threw in several steep inclines on the treadmill...it was great! My ipod was dead, so I had to make up my own music in my mind. That was fun. But, I did it, and would have run, but my left ankle is feeling a little tender from yesterday's run...sometimes, I wonder if all that pounding is good for us. Even marathon runners have awesome injuries at times.

Keep up the great work everyone...and stay away from the Halloween candy, now.

Have a blessed evening...

I'd be willing to protect you from those, and take them off your hands. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for my friends.

I was way too tired this morning, so I skipped my run. I still have 5 miles to run this week to meet my goal. I plan to run 3 miles tomorrow, and 2 miles on Friday. We'll see if I run on Saturday. With any luck, I'll exceed my goal.

Sharon, you don't need all that candy. You're already sweet enough.

I just started working out again (it's been about 3 years)....I am seperating my workouts as Legs, Chest, Back, Arms/Shoulders. Monday I did chest exercises followed by some situps/crunches/etc., and ran two miles on an incline (treadmill)...today is back day!

*aw* how nice was that?

Well..I did not work out today, but I kinda knew I wasn't going to be able to...because I went to my son's final football game of the season...but tomorrow...back at it! I think once our minds stick with it, our bodies follow...don't you guys agree??
