Default Divine Mercy - Faustina's Diary online

I've just been wasting time looking for odd websites. A link from a link from a link led me to this:

http://our.homewithgod.com/divinemercy/

This site has the full text of St. Faustina's diary among other things.

So maybe the last hour of time wasting hasn't been a total waste of time.

Oh well, I just received a copy of Faustina's book. I didn't know it was on-line, but then it's probably for the best as I can read the book wherever I want.

Is that "Home With God" site protestant?

So far I've found her diary very enlightening. Many, many times some of the quotes from Our Lord have spoken to my heart.

I am amazed though that Faustina's prayers are so beautiful. For someone who only had three (?) years education, she has a marvelous way of addressing Our Lord. I suppose that's what grace does for one.

I've also taken to reciting the Divine Mercy prayer throughout the day and have found that I awaken in the morning with the prayer still in my mind - sometimes like in the middle of the prayer, which makes me think that possibly I'm still praying during my sleep.

I am glad that you all are interested in her wonderful diary.
I have a copy myself. It is better to read from the book on which you can highlight many important parts.

To me, reading the book is like praying. I try to mediate on every sentence. As I am reading her diary, it gives me a great sense that I am praying based on her writing, and it gives me so much peace and hope from the Mercy of Jesus Christ.

Besides Bibles and other books, this book is so benifit to us all. Before I read, I thank Jesus for His Mercy and His Words to St. Faustina, then I pray with St. Faustina for her intercession to help me love Jesus more and to help me grow spirtually or to guide me through this words. The first 60 pages when I had started reading St. Faustina's Diary, 3 times, her diary answered my questions which have great impact on my spiritual life. I keep on reading at least 2 to 3 pages per night.

If you haven't got the book yet, get one soon.

Ah well, it's fantastic in print. I'd be rereading it if there weren't so many other books here.

Enjoy & be enriched.

The Lord's Divine Providence! Sheila, I could not help but think of this story from Saint Faustina's diary...

1312 + Jesus came to the main entrance today, under the guise of a poor young man. This young man, emaciated, barefoot and bareheaded, and with his clothes in tatters, was frozen because the day was cold and rainy. He asked for something hot to eat. So I went to the kitchen, but found nothing there for the poor. But, after searching around for some time, I succeeded in finding some soup, which I reheated, and into which I crumbled some bread, and I gave it to the poor young man, who ate it. As I was taking the bowl from him, he gave me to know that He was the Lord of heaven and earth. When I saw Him as He was, He vanished from my sight. When I went back in and reflected on what had happened at the gate, I heard these words in my soul: “My daughter, the blessings of the poor who bless Me as they leave this gate have reached My ears. And your compassion, within the bounds of obedience, has pleased Me, and this is why I came down from My throne-to taste the fruits of your mercy.”

You will most certainly be in my prayers. God bless.
