Question Little Morning Offering Prayer

I'm trying to find a little prayer I remember hearing. I think it goes like this:
O Lord, I don't know what you may have in store for me today, but...
It is a Morning Offering. Does anyone know it? Thanks.

Is this it:

O my God, I offer you this day,
All I do, and think, and say,
In union with what was done,
On Earth by Jesus Christ, Your Son.

I remember this from when I was a kid, though it might not be a bad idea to start including it in my prayers again.

This is a lovely little prayer and thank you for it. I will save it and use it. But, the one I heard had the following idea in it:

Lord, I don't know what you have in store for me today but I do know that whatever it is You and I can do it together....

These are not the exact words. Mine are a bit ragged. I need a little prayer for a young relative who lost her sister and is grieving painfully. I need something that will comfort her in her pain.

I don't have the one you are looking for, but I've found this prayer:

Quote:
Good Morning My Lord:

Thank you for keeping me safe through the night,
Please watch over me during the day,
and keep me safe from harm.

Give me strength, O Lord,
So that I may make the right choices,
Be kind and good to others.

Please keep my family and friends safe,
Throughout the day and into the night,
And please let me always know you are always with me,
Guiding me and Loving me.

In Jesus Christ's name, I pray
Amen.
I hope your relative will find comfort in praying.

The one I say every morning is:

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys and sufferings for this day, for the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, for reparation of sins, for the intentions of my friends and family, and especially for the intentions of our Most Holy Father for this day.

A little wordy, but it covers all the bases!

This is the closest I can find to it:

Dearest God and Most Precious Teacher,

I don't know what You have in store for me today,
but whatever it is,
I'm looking forward to it,
confident that wherever I am,
You Are.

Amen

Not that one, but there must be a lot of different morning offerings. The one I use is from Susan Tassone's book PRAYING IN THE PRESENCE OF OUR LORD FOR THE HOLY SOULS, page 57

"O my God, I offer Thee every thought, word, and deed of the day now beginning for the poor souls in purgatory; my rising and lying down, my going out and coming in, my work and recreation, my sorrows and delights, my successes and disappointments, my good fortune and mishaps, my gains and my losses, my pleasures and pains, all that i may do, say, or feel, beseeching Thee that through the infinite merits of the Passion of Thy Divine Son, to which I unite all my works, these poor souls may be speedily released from their dolorous pains to see, love, and enjoy Thee forever."

I doubt if I will ever be able to commit this to memory

There are indeed a lot of different ones. I take nearly five minutes to say mine each morning.

I start off offering for the intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I then offer for myself, family and friends, and those who ask me to pray for them. I add any other specific intentions that come to mind.

Then I go on to mention the Holy Father and his intentions, the needs of the Church, especially vocations, souls in purgatory and conversion of sinners. Ends up with a general intention to gain all the indulgences my prayers each day may have attached to them.

Quite the shopping list

Dear Lord, I do not know what will happen to me today.
I only know that nothing will happen that was not foreseen by You,
and directed to my greater good from all eternity.
I adore Your holy and unfathomable plans,
and submit to them with all my heart for love of You,
the Pope, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Smile Re: Little Morning Offering Prayer

Here is a similar one that always provides peace to me.

Daily Meditation Road Ahead (Prayer Wisdom from Thomas Merton)

"My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone."

This may be the prayer Liz is looking for.

What does the new day hold in store for me, O Lord?
What blessings shall you give me from your ever-open hand?
What troubles will confront me, what temptations come my way?
What challenges will I be called to face?
Without your grace to guide me, Lord, this day will be a wasted opportunity.
But with your promised presence to direct me, it can be a wondrous gift-
not only for me but for all with whom I come in contact in the hours ahead.
Lord, speak through my voice today; work through my hands; put your own
thoughts into my mind and your own loving will be in my heart.
So shall these hours be sanctified according to your gracious plan.
In your strong name I pray. Amen.
