Exercise Support Group--week of 11/19/06
Sharon, I hope you don't mind me starting this week's thread. I don't want to step on your toes, especially with your injury!
I ran two miles this morning. I plan to run another two or three miles tomorrow. As soon as we get access to the new house, I'll be moving stuff there, so I may get a whole bunch of working out this week.
BTW, we're shooting for Friday now as our move in date, so if any of you want to come help, you'd be welcome.

Re: Exercise Support Group--week of 11/19/06
kicked off the second week of off-season with an 8-mile run to my church (what better destination could there be? ) on my own. Tomorrow is school, so I'm hoping my coach has SOME sort of workout schedule for us, I really have to fight laziness in the off-season or my track season is indeed doomed.
Thanksgiving break starts Thursday so I'll have to run on my own again Thurs/Friday. I work Saturday mornings so that's usually when I rest. So yeah, that's the week for me, God bless you all in your endeavors cette semaine!

Uh . . . weren't you a bit sweaty when you got there? 8 miles! WOW! I can't imaging trying to run 8 miles. I think I'm doing well when I run 3.

Perfect! Have them at our house by 9 AM Friday. I'll be careful not to "accidently" pack in a box.

Yes, I was quite sweaty, and of course I didn't stay for Mass; I went to the 5 o'clock
Ran 30 hills today at practice. Not very fast though, as I decided to go to a donut shop off-campus for lunch today, and purchased 5 plain-cake donuts

Good luck with the move!
We ran a mile, ten 60 meter sprints, and another mile, and went home. This is all quite relaxing I'm just hoping we don't get TOO lazy...

Re: Exercise Support Group--week of 11/19/06
hi everyone--no problem, michael...that's great that u start these threads!
welp...i still have not worked out...my foot has gotten a bit better, but when i'm walking too long on it, it starts to relapse back to where it was a week ago. supposedly, it's going to take 3-4 weeks to heal...if it is still bad by that time, i will have to get a walking cast...
i also started a side baking business (for organic lovers!) and it's taken off to my pleasant surprises....so....i'm busy, now...as well. but, i'm going to try to do the bike over the weekend.
hope everyone had a great holiday!

Re: Exercise Support Group--week of 11/19/06
Happy thanksgiving everyone!
Did 16 miles biking today, but whenever I bike you can assume I mean "slow", so I basically decided to take a day off. Nice and relaxing...
Tomorrow I'll have to fit something of a long run into my schedule...

Re: Exercise Support Group--week of 11/19/06
you guys make me remember why I never feel at home on this thread, 50 miles indeed. show-off.
was off for a week due to an infection that hit me like a Mack truck, and boy do I feel it. could only walk for 20 minutes after a very light TG dinner yesterday, did 30 minutes this morning, hope to get back up to an hour (full rosary) by beginning of Advent. Curves is closed until monday for holiday, so I am doing leg lifts with ankle weights while I watch TV. The holiday shows have started on the hallmark channel and I tivo what I like. so far cannot find "its a wonderful life". still do tai chi every morning to loosen up and my back exercises.

hope you do some good stretching to get ready for this, because you will discover muscles you never knew existed.

Re: Exercise Support Group--week of 11/19/06
Ran 8 miles yesterday, going to do the same run agan today after I get off work... *sigh* it's been a busy holiday weekend, but I'm making loads of cash by working it, which I need as I'm still in the hole from my homecoming dance last month.
