Wink More than a ten word story

Like the three word story, except you can write a sentence of ten words, and the sentence has to end with "In the spirit of Vatican Council II, of course." (I got the idea from Fun Things to do at Mass).

The dog walked through the park that bright sunny day. In the spirit of Vatican Council II, of course.

Except that the dog flunked out of Steubenville in the first semester for failing to complete his assignments. He claimed to have eaten them - in the spirit of Vatican II, of course.
