There was a post which may have been lost in the crash with a song called 'Dominic the Donkey' (methinks it was Perry Como)

If anyone has the link that'd be awesome.

DOMINIC THE DONKEY
Hey! Chingedy ching,
(hee-haw, hee-haw)
It's Dominick the donkey.
Chingedy ching,
(hee-haw, hee-haw)
The Italian Christmas donkey.
(la la la-la la-la la la la la)
(la la la-la la-la la-ee-oh-da)

Santa's got a little friend,
His name is Dominick.
The cutest little donkey,
You never see him kick.
When Santa visits his paisons,
With Dominick he'll be.
Because the reindeer cannot,
Climb the hills of Italy.

Hey! Chingedy ching,
(hee-haw, hee-haw)
It's Dominick the donkey.
Chingedy ching,
(hee-haw, hee-haw)
The Italian Christmas donkey.
(la la la-la la-la la la la la)
(la la la-la la-la la-ee-oh-da)

Jingle bells around his feet,
And presents on the sled.
Hey! Look at the mayor's derby,
On top of Dominick's head.
A pair of shoes for Louie,
And a dress for Josephine.
The labels on the inside says,
They're made in Brooklyn.

Hey! Chingedy ching,
(hee-haw, hee-haw)
It's Dominick the donkey.
Chingedy ching,
(hee-haw, hee-haw)
The Italian Christmas donkey.
(la la la-la la-la la la la la)
(la la la-la la-la la-ee-oh-da)

Children sing, and clap their hands,
And Dominick starts to dance.
They talk Italian to him,
And he even understands.

Cumpare sing,
Cumpare su,
And dance 'sta tarantel.
When jusamagora comes to town,
And brings du ciuccianello.

Hey! Chingedy ching,
(hee-haw, hee-haw)
It's Dominick the donkey.
Chingedy ching,
(hee-haw, hee-haw)
The Italian Christmas donkey.
(la la la-la la-la la la la la)
(la la la-la la-la la-ee-oh-da)

Hey! Domini

Herbei, o ihr Gläubigen
. Herbei, o ihr Gläubigen,
Fröhlich triumphiernd,
O kommet, o kommet nach Bethlehem!
Sehet das Kindlein,
Uns zum Heil geboren!

O lasset uns anbeten,
O lasset uns anbeten,
O lasset uns anbeten,
Den König!

Note: Verse 2 often omitted in English versions.
2. König der Ehren,
Herrscher der Heerscharen,
Du ruhst in der Krippe im Erdenthal.
Gott, wahrer Gott,
Von Ewigkeit geboren!

O lasset uns anbeten,
O lasset uns...

3. Kommt, singet dem Herren,
O ihr Engelchöre,
Frohlocket, frohlocket, ihr Seligen!
Ehre sei Gott im Himmel
Und auf Erden.

O lasset uns anbeten,
O lasset uns...

4. Dir, der du heute
Bist für uns geboren
Jesu sei Ehre und Ruhm und Dank!
Wort des ew'gen Vaters,
Fleisch für uns geworden!

O lasset uns anbeten,
O lasset uns...

Stille Nacht
Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Alles schläft; einsam wacht
Nur das traute hochheilige Paar.
Holder Knabe im lockigen Haar,
Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh!
Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh!

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Hirten erst kundgemacht
Durch der Engel Halleluja,
Tönt es laut von fern und nah:
Christ, der Retter ist da!
Christ, der Retter ist da!

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Gottes Sohn, o wie lacht
Lieb' aus deinem göttlichen Mund,
Da uns schlägt die rettende Stund'.
Christ, in deiner Geburt!
Christ, in deiner Geburt!

I know the second song is "Silent Night," but what is the first song?

If anyone who has not had operatic training attempts to sing O Holy Night, let him be anathema.
If that person be a country/wester/hiphop performer, let him be cast into the outer darkness and into the pit where there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth, and the worm dieth not.

I was going to tell him it was "Venite Adoremus." I think it was orignally in Latin?

It was originally in Latin - as 'Adeste Fideles', not 'Venite Adoremus'
