Exercise Support Group--week Of 12/03
I didn't see a new thread, so I figured I should just start one.
I drove up to Santa Barbara last night, but woke up this morning feeling like a cold is coming on. So, I didn't run this morning. I'll see how I feel after work today. Maybe I can run then.

Re: Exercise Support Group--week Of 12/03
I went running after work, but didn't expect much, as I haven't run in a week and a half. However, I was able to run almost 2 miles. That's better than I expected. The bad news is that I had a mild asthma attack when I got back to my hotel. Nothing serious, mind you. All is well now.
Where is everyone? Sharon, Autumn, Kathy, Wandering, Courage? Is everyone getting lazy as we approach Christmas?

Re: Exercise Support Group--week Of 12/03
Kinda busy with things now. But I did manage 9 miles yesterday. I have this goal of 50 miles in a week. Maybe someday huh?

Re: Exercise Support Group--week Of 12/03
Ack, sorry been busy and havent had time to post. But as an update, I'm getting sick. >.<
First came on yesterday while we were doing repeat 2-miles. I had to stop halfway, I couldn't breath because of a bunch of gunk in my throat (and my throat was getting ridiculously inflamed). I woke up this morning with aches in my knees and I've been drowsy all day.
Today I ran with the team despite my little cold, we did 60 meter sprints and a nice and easy 3 mile jog.
Though I can't really run too hard right now, I'm taking advantage of the moment to work a LOT on conditioning. Cross country season made me skinny as a stick, and I'm having trouble with my arms whenever we do practice track races like the mile, because you use your arms a lot more in the shorter distances. So now I'm visiting the weight room 3 days a week and I've made makeshift weights out of milk cartons for use at home. Time to get ripped! lol

Re: Exercise Support Group--week Of 12/03
It seems like a good time for illness. I, too, have been fighting off a virus. There's a cold that seems to be trying gain hold, but I'm not giving in to it, at least not yet.
Kathy, at the rate you're going, that 50 mile week can't be too far off.
OnlyAmbrose, I wish I had your problem. I struggle with keeping the weight off. I've been thin before, but can't seem to get there again.
I ran 2 miles this morning on the treadmill. I missed yesterday, as I overslept.

Sometimes we need to do that. But I also understand as on the rare occasion I forget my pedometer, I feel like "why walk? It doesn't count"
I am soooooo close to a 10 mile a day walk. If I could manage that, I'd get my 50 miler in.

Re: Exercise Support Group--week Of 12/03
everyone. I have been consistent since 11-12. I have been exercising 6 days/week alternating spinning and ripped ( rippedworkout.ca/).
My establised schedule was interrupted by the ice storm and power loss (no power for 3 days) . I am thankful our power is restored and pray for those who are still waiting.
Ya'll are inspiring. Keep up the most excellent work!!!!

Just under 9 miles today. Looks like another short week for me!

Autumn, it's great to hear from you. Good job on the consistency! You're such an inspiration.
I ran 2 miles on the treadmill this morning. I won't be able to run tomorrow, as my treadmill is still packed away. Also, I need to get up early to go see my mom tomorrow. Please pray for her. She fell at home on Tuesday, and completely lost her memory. Little pieces have returned, but she's got a ways to go yet.

As expected, I didn't get to run today. Probably not tomorrow either. But I promise to run on Monday.
