Talking Welcome to the Infernulo

My son, after reading bits of Dante's Divine Comedy, had a creative writing assignment to describe some bit of the afterlife*. He chose to describe a few circles of the Infernulo (the little Inferno), where people are condemned for venial sins. It's not so much eternal punishment as "eternal discomfort"

For instance: There is a circle of Infernulo for those who talk loudly at the movies. They are condemend to watch foreign films, without dubbing nor subtitles, for all eternity. Should they drift off to sleep, they are awakened by demons pelting them with popcorn.

Describe another cirlce of the Infernulo.

(* Don't worry, his assignment is done -- You won't be doing anyone's homework for him)

People who bring the cell phones to Mass are condemned to having to play back their messages for all eternity. Those actually carry on phone conversations during Mass have to listen to an digital voice telling them what to do for all eternity. For torments, dial 1, for eternal hellfire dial 2, etc. to repeat this message . . . .

Cool Re: Welcome to the Infernulo

[Inspired by this thread]

There is a circle for those who illegitimately substitute BLUE for PURPLE during Advent: Eternally starring as the make-over in the ETWN-Bravo produced reality show: Straight Guys Untwist The Queer Liturgist.

There's a waiting room for doctors where they will wait for their patients to show up for all eternity, but the patients never come. The doctors have nothing to do while they wait except to read some old, torn up, magazines.

Cool Re: Welcome to the Infernulo

I was about to include a circle for people who take the last cup of coffee without making another pot...

...But then I remembered the Infernulo is for those who've committed venial sins, not mortal ones.
