Default Exercise Support Group--week Of 12/17

Hey, everyone. A joyous Gaudete Sunday to you. What's happening in the workout world? Today os the day that I move my treadmill upstairs, so I can start working out at home again.

hi michael! hello everyone!
well, i walked about 3 miles today...! LOL I know, a little much after not consistently working out in a while...I feel great, except for my right foot. I woke up today...went to church...felt fine...but the end of my walk today, I could barely press down on my right foot. This is the worst it's been, but I just had to see if exercising would make it worse. Ok, got my answer. I feel better now, after being off it for an hour, now...but I think I'll work out on my elliptical now, and the bike on alternate days until it's better. I have a long vacation coming up...12 days...woohoo!!! And, I'm planning on seeing the podiatrist...hopefully, it's not something too bad. My husband thinks it's a stress fracture, and that over exercising today was the wrong thing to do. I also have to finish my Christmas shopping, and that hurts too...walking in the mall for hours...even at a normal pace. Ugh...please pray for me.

Have a nice week all...countdown to Christmas!

Wow, Sharon! You're having a hard time staying still, aren't you! Maybe you need to take it easy for a while more. Here's a quote for you from Scripture (I don't remember the reference):

"Be still, and know that I am God."

Today through Wednesday I'm working at my company's main office. So I drove in early this morning (to beat traffic) and worked out in the gym here. I ran two miles on the treadmill. Now I feel much better.

Kathy, you're doing so great. What an inspiration you are! Keep it up.

I got in my 2 mile run on the treadmill this morning. Tomorrow I'll be working from home, so I'll be using my own treadmill for my run.

Kathy, you're amazing! Not only are you reaching an incredible goal, but you're even posting about it in the middle of the night. Keep up the good work.

I have run yet today. I'm waiting for my son to help me move the treadmill upstairs. Then I'll use it later today.

With the 11.5 miles today I have a grand total of just over 44 miles so far. And I get UP at 5:30 AM to boot!

That's amazing. It probably takes more dedication to walk that far than to run it because it must take so derned long.

Anyways, been away for awhile, it seems my teachers are intent on loading us up big time before the holidays, so I haven't had much time to check in.

As a quick update, we're back in swing on practices. Granted, we're not doing it as intensely as we do in-season, but we're getting some good mileage and all in all just staying in shape. Though we don't want to get out of shape, we definitely don't want to overtrain this early either.

Actually, not all of that is aerobic. I work in a hospital. So I do a lot of walking. I rarely take the elevator anywhere. But even still walking 5 -6 miles AT work is no small potatoes.

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!! YAYE, KATHY! I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!

I ran two miles this morning on my treadmill. Now that I have it set up, I'm going to try to slowly increase my mileage. Pray for me.
