New Game: "You know it's sad when..."

Rules - write a serious or comical reply to the statement, "You know it's sad when...".

Example:

You know it's sad when a college student finds an entry in a dictionary that refers to another entry that refers to the entry he just looked up. (that actually happened to my old highschool teacher's dormmate back when he was in college).



I'll start.

You know it's sad when, as a computer programmer, you have every single file, functions, and code memorized from one of the most complex sections of your company's software. (i.e., it's always breaking!)
