Default Fatima, the work of satan?

"God wishes you to remain in the world for some time because He wants you to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart for the Heart of Jesus wants my Immaculate Heart to be venerated by His side.
I promise salvation to those who embrace it and their souls would be loved by God as the flowers placed by myself adorning His throne."

When I read this type of stuff I can't help but wonder how many of you think its Mary and how many the work of satan?

2nd corinthians talks of satan disguised as a beautiful angel.
Just curious...

The Church has approved Fatima.

Yes, very true. Yet, it is important to note that there have been hundreds of so-called visitations and a mere handful have received Church approval.

Tom,
You have no issue with her promising salvation?

You know it's been 90 years that we Catholics have been poring over every syllable of what Our Lady is reported to have said at Fatima but WE NEVER KNEW ... !!!

Gosh, thanks so much for enlightening our poor deluded Catholic minds [/end sarcastic rant]

Yes, God wishes his mother to be highly honoured by those who love and are devoted to him, and has a special place in his heart for those who embrace his Mother as their own. I don't need no apparitions of any kind to tell me that, nor should you.

Of course it's totally satanic - about as satanic as the lines in Luke where Mary prophesies that all generations will call her blessed and Elizabeth calls Mary the 'mother of my Lord'.

NO worries regarding this verse?
2 cor 11:14
And it is no wonder; for even Satan himself is able to take the form of an angel of light

I take no issue at all with the notion that Jesus gives certain authority to Mary, His Mother. I believe that Mary plays and has played a critical role in salvation history, yet even with that said the source of salvation comes only from Jesus. Mary can only promise that which has been given to her to promise.

Of course, it was our Virgin Mary.

In Catholic, we don't just based on one simple sentence to jump to conclusion that was Virgin Mary. We based on other miracles, facts, witnesses of many people and other promises..

Now, if you think it is Satan, ask yourself if God would allow Satan to fool millions of people by allowing Satan to control the Sun and to destroy Russia, and other things so that many would fall for the trap of Satan? I don't think so.

I hope non-Catholics can see this someday and have a great relationship with the Mother of God!

But how does that promise jive when considering faith plus works? She is promising salvation.

I see that Satan is on your mind often, and in connection with one subject it appears.

Giving Satan this much thought can only open the door for him to grab control of all your thoughts in time. He will make you focus on things always seeing a negative skeptical view as his are- and he will enjoy every minute of being able to hear you think you have avoided him and everyone else is embracing him! Because he gets people unaware, makes them think they have a brighter wisdom than God's disciples, suddenly he will even make you hear his voices one day. Dont let it come to that point.

Say it with me: Get behind me Satan! Stay out of my thoughts! Judgement is for God Almighty alone not you, not Me. Get out of my life and be gone now!

I will pray for you.

I agree this is creepy. How can Mary, who I love mind you, promise Salvation. She is not God and what "she" proposes is another means of salvation. There has to be a better explanation that "the church approved it". Does that means she approves this part where "Mary" promises salvation is we do this specific thing?

You deserve a better explanation than the scorn you have received. This is a legitimate question and seems very problematic. I would think Catholics would want to explain something so odd sounding to a Protestant enquirer.

Scripture warns us precisely of this as I noted above.

She can only promise that which she has been given to promise. Jesus sends His Mother to us because He wishes for all to be saved, and allows her to carry the promise of salvation to those who believe. Mary is not the soruce, Jesus is.

I could promise you salvation if you obey God's commandments, does this mean I will be the one give you the salvation? No, it is God, but I know for sure God will grant you salvation for you following His teachings. After all, you trust your church to tell you that, don't you?
