Default Threads of a sexual nature

Hi,

I have a genuine question to ask in the Moral Theology section, but I am unsure about how to word the title.

It is regarding kinky sex within marriage.

I know we get children on these forums, and I am wondering what the ruling is on how to word posts and thread titles appropriately.

Thanks

Kellie,

You're correct, we do have posters as young as 14 years old and we ask that threads and posts related to sexual matters be framed in terms which take that into consideration.

As a general rule, terminology used should be that which would be acceptable in public conversation in polite society, should not be more graphic than is necessary, and should avoid sensationalism or titillation, as well as being free of language that is crude, vulgarities, and sexual slang. It doesn't mean that you have to phrase your post in clinical or medical terminology, but you should exercise the same restraint that you would in conversation with or in front of your own children.
