Exercise Support Group--week Of 02/04
Hey, everyone. Sorry for the delay in this thread. I've been swamped lately, and not much in the mood for excercise. We had a funeral to attend last Thursday, and another one yesterday. It's been really tough.
How's everyone else doing?

Re: Exercise Support Group--week Of 02/04
Well...walked a little today...not quite a mile, but it's an effort with my foot the way it's been. It's actually improving. There's not much I can really do about it, except stretch it out. Walking is actually supposed to aggravate it, but I can't just not do anything?
Michael, what a story about your 36 yr old friend...omg...I got a shiver reading that...I mean...what caused that???? How horrible! Death, under any circumstances is tough, but when someone so young dies unexpectedly...it's like woah. I'm sorry to have heard that.
Thanks for starting the new thread...hopefully, everyone's been active.
It's bbbrrrrr freezing here these days...

It's been cold here, too. Yesterday, I don't think it got above 80 degrees. Today was even colder; 74 was the high.

Mea Culpa! I just couldn't resist.
I used to live in Florida. Near Tampa. No snow, but it sure got humid.

lol! i'm actually moving in a few months to tampa bay where my company's office is....but we plan on living about 30 minutes north of tampa.
no exercise today. and we went out to dinner...ok for Lent...I prayed about what God would want me to do. I came up with a few things, but lowering my carbs, and exercising consistently is something that would be sacrificing for me, I think. I have really fallen out of a steady routine, and it is so upsetting! But, I pray that God will strengthen me to get on a program, like I was six months ago! Plz pray for me, everyone.
hi kathy

Sharon, I know how you feel. I got on the treadmill this morning for the first time in a week and a half. I like your Lenten idea. Maybe I should do something like that, too.

Re: Exercise Support Group--week Of 02/04
Morning!
I was thinking about a treadmill. That way I could keep up with walking in the cold. I do like outside better but not when it's sooooo cold. Makes me have to run to the bathroom too much! Any suggestions on what KIND of treadmill??

Hi, Kathy,
My input would be to get a treadmill with at least a 3 HP motor. Any less, you find the belt skipping when you step forward.
I started a new thread for the week here.
