Addressing a Preist or the Bishop's Office in a letter
I am wondering how to do this. i know you cant just do the typical letter format. I need to request information of my archdioses and a local parish, and so i need to know the proper salutation and ending/pre-siganture remark.

Re: Addressing a Preist or the Bishop's Office in a letter
Hi Brian,
When addressing a letter to a Catholic Archbishop or Bishop address your letter as:
The Most Reverend …(full name)
Archbishop (or Bishop) of …(the name of the dioceses) Use either of these two salutations: Your Excellency:
Dear Archbishop (of Bishop): When addressing a letter to a Catholic Priest address your letter as:
The Reverend …(full name, followed by comma and initials of his order) Use either of these two salutations: Dear Father:
Dear Father …(name, example Dear Father Smith):
I found that an appropriate closing (signature) to be:
Your fellow in Christ
Very sincerely yours God luck

Re: Addressing a Preist or the Bishop's Office in a letter
if you are sending the letter to the archdicisean office, do you still address it as if you are sending it to the bishop personally?
