Thumbs up Exercise support group--week of 4/15!

Here's this week's new thread...my goals for this week are to work out 5-6 days. 4 days strength training...5 days cardio. I would also like to increase my time, distance (on bike and elliptical)

Here's to health, everyone...make it a great week!

Hallelujah! What a great week! My 3rd grandchild was born last night. He's SOOOOOO cute! I am So excited.

Oh . . . I guess we have to set goals, huh? OK, I'm going to push myself this week again, and set a goal of running 12 miles.

Good morning everyone!
I had a slow week last week.....and had 4 days off....away from home. Now I have to get down to business. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist and maybe he can help me over this weight loss plateau. I am hoping to make it at least a 40 miler walking this wee. Wish me luck. Michael, congratualtions on the new grandson!

Thank you! I am hoping the doc can figure out wjhat I am doing wrong or change my meds. It is like a roller coaster ride with weight loss.........up 2............down 1...........up 1......... down 2...........up and down..........just not consistent and it is frustrationg as all "you know what"

Kathy

what do you do for strength training? Free weights - machines or combo? Do you go to a gym for this or focus at home?

I need to start focusing more on this side of my workout - but admit that I am lazy and inconsistant when it comes to getting the weights in.

I am pleased with my cardio workouts but know I need to add strength.
