Default can't log out again

For some reasons it's happening to me again in that the system will not let me log off. I know this was fixed once before and it was working great but now it's doing it again.

Thanks for any help

Can you tell me what happens precisely when you try to log out?

And what skin (style; color scheme) are you using?

I am using the blue skin color scheme. I log off and recieve the regular screen that says all cookies are cleared etc but I look and I'm still on. I also know I'm still logged in because I don't have to log back in again.

Does that help?

It might, that's why I need to know.

Does this problem happen regardless of the forum page you are on? Or only from some pages? Can you give a specific page (e.g, ForumHome) that results in the behavior you are describing? I tested several different types of pages, but I did not see the behavior you describe.

So it implies that you are logged out, but it also says you are logged on? Is the "Log On" form (the blank Username and Password fields) displayed?
What happens if you click a forum link? Are you still logged in after arriving at the new forum page?

Yes, I log out and the username and password fields are blank then if I click a forum link it reads "Hi, anamchara" as if I never logged off.

Should I try changing my color scheme?

And if you immediately try to log off again, does the loop repeat? That is, can you ever log off successfully?

Sure, just try CA Desert and CA Blue, please.

Yes, it's a loop but I can log off successfully. I have it set at CA Dessert but I'm still having the problem.

I do not understand. A "loop" means that you can't get out, it keeps repeating. How is it that you "log off successfully"?

Have either of you tried clearing the cookies manually?
Cause I have no problem with logging off.

It's possible I'm not explaining myself correctly, I am logging off successfully, in other words I am receiving the page when I Iog off that says

" All cookies cleared! But when I link on the forums again to just look around, the screen shows I am still logged on. It not only says "hi, Anamchara" but it also shows me online. I don't ever have to put in my password because I'm just staying online. It's odd because as I said when I log off I'm getting the name and password fields blank. But I can click anywhere in the forums and I'm logged back on.

I hope this helps. I don't know any other way to explain it

What browser (brand and version #) are you using?

Also, please try Wonko's suggestion of clearing all your cookies after you log out. The command to do this varies by browser.

IE7
Tools > Internet Options > Browsing History > Delete > Cookies > ...

Firefox 2
Tools > Clear Private Data > Cookies > Clear Now
or to view and delete individual cookie files
Tools > Options > Privacy > Show Cookies

Once any catholic.com cookies are cleared, please try visiting CAF again and let me know what happens.
