WASHINGTON DC, April 18 (CNA) - Ina stunning victory for life, the Supreme Court of the United Statestoday upheld a 2003 law passed by Congress and signed by PresidentGeorge W. Bush, which bans the procedure known as partial-birthabortion.In a 5-4decision the justices ruled that the 2003 law does not violate awoman’s right to procure an abortion and, as such, is in line with thecourt’s precedent set by 1973 decision in Row v. Wade.
