Default Idea for a new board - The Single Life

I would like to see a "Single Life" message board under the Catholic Living group. There are an awful lot of unmarried Catholics and there are special considerations and topics that pertain specifically to them.

These include, discussion about dating, remaining chaste, single-parent issues, widows/widowers and so on. Plus, there is the large and complicated topic about divorce and annulnment.

Please consider this.

Thank you.

I will support it. So many fail to recognize that the single life can be a vocation as well.

Thank you, goofyjim.

I should add that I am not suggesting a "matchmaking" board. There are plenty of other places to do that. Rather, discussing the issues involved with the single-life. This would includes those who are looking for a mate, those who chooose to be single and those who may be consecrated religious.

It would also be a good forum to discuss how the Theology of the Body impacts those who are not married.

There are many issues and difficulties and temptation with the single life that are often not present in married couples.

You are right. I know people who are not married and talking with them can be very different from talking with the people I know who are married.

I would support this. So many threads started by single people about being single end up getting hijacked, and become threads about marriage. It would be nice to have a place where we could actually talk about being single.
