Default Exercise support group--week of 6/3!

Good morning, everyone. Happy Sunday!

Welcome to our new thread. It's time to set our goals for the week. I'm taking today off, but will be at it again tomorrow. I'm going to set a modest goal of running 14 miles this week.

I'd like to do 60 in 5. The weather might nor be too cooperative though. It's supposed to rain

Can you walk in the rain? Sometimes that can be fun.

Hey the thread is quiet - must be everyone's out and exercising!

Well then................Great Job everyone!

I was happy I met my weekly goal of 25 miles - barely squeked it in last night but I did it.

Though I noticed my pants are a bit tight this AM. How can that possibly be????? OKI - I went to 2 family parties this weekend.

Don't feel bad. It's necessary to sacrifice and attend those parties (and eat) from time to time.

Finally got back to a week of losing weight. That's a definite plus. This week I gotta get more focused though. I'm going for 2400 calories a day & 3 intense workouts, 3 weights sessions, & 1 moderate workout. Did 1 intense workout yesterday.

And sacrifice I did!
Actually, I usually tend not to overeat and I generally eat something light before I leave to go to a party. This way, I am not starving when I arrive and do not head for the chips and dip.

Good for you! Doesn't it feel good?
So what is your weight loss count to now?

Nick, I like your goals. They're stretch goals, but reachable. You can do it.

Jenn, great job reaching your goals last week. What's your goal for this week?

I ran 3 miles on the treadmill this morning. I guess you can call it the first day of training for the half marathon on 6/7/2008.

Wow, shooting for the half marathon by next year huh? That's an impressive goal.

I guess my 3K training will begin tomorrow with my first run in quite some time.

To tell you the truth, I feel pretty gross right now. It's funny once you get into being healthy & eating healthy & everything and then you stop it doesn't take long to start feeling bad.

Do I really have to admit my weight loss totals? It's not nearly as good as it was before (I put on some weight in my 3 week exercise hiatus). Right now I'm down 34. If I can drop 7 more lbs I'll be at my lowest weight since 2003.

Planning to hit either the track or the treadmill this afternoon--depending on the weather--and see if the calf muscle will stand up to any kind of running.

Switched my diet over to a modified Atkins and dropped 2 1/2 pounds in four days. If I combine some exercise in now, maybe I can get this baby moving!

To answer your first question - yes. It deosn't take long at all to go downhill. Sad really.

Hold the phone! Last I spoke to you about this, you had lost 27 lbs. Wowzer!!!!! 34 lbs? Man that is fabulous.
