New friends club! Come on in!!!
Hello ladies, and gentlemen,
here is a new post where we can talk, introduce ourselves to one another and share what we like and dislike and so on! talk about anything that friends want to talk about! first off, iam 41 from Canada and love God with my whole heart and soul. I love the Church and my marriage, and my family. I also love cats and dogs, all wildlife. Iam a book worm, and also love knitting, watching good quality Catholic programming and movies. My likes also include going for a drive, and being outside.
I really dislike eating lobster and crab and clams and mussels and so on because i just think they are too cute to eat. yeah i know, what the heck is sooo cute about 'em hmm huh hmm huh? they are cute to me i just can't eat em!
Iam a reverted Catholic. I came back into the faith a few years ago. honestly, i cannot fathom why i stayed away so long! my life just drifted away from the church. for awhile, i went to protestant type services but was never happy there, and not fulfilled. even though i diligently learned what they taught. it just did not fulfill me. when i came home to the church, life really was complete.
since then, its been wonderful being back! i'd like to meet new friends here and want to know more about you. so, pull up a chair if your inclined and sit down and tell us a bit about yourself.

Re: New friends club! Come on in!!!
Hi everyone,
I'm a 32 y.o. Catholic male, husband, father of four, blue collar. My wife and I will have been together 19 years this July 4th. She is a cradle Byzantine Cathiolic and has saved my life a few times. I was the rebel without a clue. I have been a Catholic from birth, but didn't start practising until a couple of years ago. I'm glad to be here and learn about my faith. You good folks keep me hopeful in humanity. Tim

Re: New friends club! Come on in!!!
Hi. I'm a non-denom for lack of a better category, love Jesus, love people who love Jesus, read a lot, done many kinds of jobs, college degree in a place where that and three bucks will get me a cup of coffee with a lot of syrup in it but I don't drink that stuff, female but I keep forgetting, single and wouldn't get married if a million bucks and a free trial subscription to Good Housekeeping came with it, no kids, an artist and writer and health worker, here because my ex-BF apparently read the daVinci Code and I wanted to rescue his poor dissolving brain and i found CA by accident during some online research into how many thousands of howlers are in that book but meanwhile I had already decided I wanted nothing to do with him so I was actually preparing in case I ever met anyone else who had fallen for Brown. I am thinking about doing RCIA at the next opportunity. A month or two ago I had never heard of it. I don't want to be impulsive. I want to do it for the right reasons. I've been mostly posting on the Non-Catholic Religions Forum and having a great time at it.

Welcome to CAF and welcome fellow Chirstian! RCIA will start you ona wonderful journey. As for the Da Vinci code, never read it, never will. its hocus pocus to me. My hubby read it and he liked it. He knows its fiction, but he thought it was an "average read" at best.
My hubby is studying catechism, and he loves learning about the faith He has all his prayers pretty much down pat he was an athiest for his entire life, so him learning about the faith is really an eye opener as he says.
I also like the non Catholic religions forum. I go there quite a bit. its got alot of good posts in it. glad to have met you, and look forward to your posts

All of the above! I was gone for a week visiting my mother, and when I left I had the house looking pretty good- laundry caught up, dishes done, rugs good, etc. I came home yesterday and it's all undone now! Unfortunatly, I can not hide today, especially since we're hosting the 4th of July party at our house this week. I've got to have it looking decent by then! Sigh.

Re: New friends club! Come on in!!!
Thanks for welcoming me TraditionalCath!
I am 25 year old female. Converted to the Catholic Faith in June 1999. Pursued the religious life for four years (including two years spent in a convent.) Now I am married in the Church to a wonderful Protestant Christian man. We've been married for 16 months. We are seemingly unable to have children, we've been trying to conceive from our wedding night. We are very open to adoption and will pursue that one day, whether or not we can have biological children. Since we can't have children yet, we have two dogs to keep me company during the day.
I have lots of health issues right now, mental and physical, so only my husband works. I stay at home and take care of the house during the days and evenings, and my husband on nights and weekends. He works long hours. We live in Memphis, Tennessee. We moved 16 months ago from Indianapolis, Indiana where we had both lived all of our lives, and where both of our families still reside. We met at college.
That's all I can think of for now. But it's going to be great fun meeting you all.
