The Twenties Thread: Quarter life crisis no more.
Hi Everyone! Anyone interested in posting and meeting other people and friends in their twenties? It seems like this stage of life is often a confusing one, and the more support the better! Between leaving college, getting a good job, finding your vocation in life, paying the bills, and more...the twenties can be tough. They sometimes call this stage a quarter life crisis! I, for one, don't want to head into a crisis anytime soon! Having friends certainly makes it better. And, as a practicing Catholic, I believe having God in your life makes things have more meaning and worth. Of course no one said all the days would be easy...
So...any interesting stories to share about life in your twenties, horror stories about loans, meeting the right "one" or job related drama? Any stories about young adult gatherings in your parish? Let's talk!
I'm 22 and living in Pa! I'm thankful each day for God in my life. As a Catholic, I love learning the teachings of my faith and practicing my faith. Sometimes I get down, thinking, where am I going, and what is going to happen, but I think God reminds me gently each time that He's in control, and that I need to stop worrying so much! Sometimes it is hard though.
Right now the weather is beautiful here, about 86 degrees. Have a good Friday evening! Hope to talk to you all soon.

Someone once observed that however long you live, the years before your 20th birthday are the longest half of your life. I buy that. It's a very BUSY decade: Graduating from college, entering the work force in earnest, finding the life partner, starting a family, buying a home . . . and all of that is if you're lucky.
I never fail to question the sanity of people who look back on their twenties as if it were a wonderful time. Sounds like you've got it nailed though! God love ya!
I compare my own head at 20 with my childrens' minds, and am amazed. I was memorizing the psalter and learning Greek. They're all about rock music I can't even figure out. One of 'em (age 25) just wrapped the visual graphics on Fantastic Four. All beyond me!

You're lucky. During my twenties, it was all I could do just to live down the Iran Hostage Crisis potshots I took in a high school Algebra class. One student jokingly thought that my ancestry was Iranian (being half- ARMENIAN in ancestry is as close as I get to "being Iranian"). To make matters worse, the instructor JOINED IN ON IT.
Believe me, those kinds of "jokes" I can live well enough without, thank you very much.
